This bachelor thesis deals with the influence of the choice of material ceilings on the total price of the ceiling construction. In the theoretical part are generally defined ceiling structures, their requirements, types of ceilings by material and also the basis of valuation of construction works and supplies. In the practical part, ceiling structures above the 1st floor are proposed, which are calculated in the budget. Finally, I analyze the influence of material selection on the price of designed ceiling constructions.

The Impact of the Implementation of the Wall Construction on the Building Construction Cost

The first theoretical part of the thesis quotes different types of prices and methods of pricing, including the international pricing standards. The second theoretical part deals with history of civil engineering, sorts of building structure and their construction. The practical part of the thesis examines 6 variants of vertical building structures considering their prices, thickness of walling masonry and overall coefficient of heat transfer. Every structures cover description of their construction inclusive making reference to pros and cons. The outcome of each structure is presented in graphs. At the end of the thesis, one particular building material is chosen as the best, in accordance with the criterion hereinbefore.

In the theoretical part are generally defined the floors, their structural layers and the material used, as well as the fundamentals of valuation of construction works and supplies. In the practical part are designed floating floors above the 1st floor, which are calculated in the budget. Finally, I analyze the influence of the price of selected materials on the price of the designed floors.
