Comparison of Results of Experimental Visibility Measurements with Available Software
Ondris, Róbert ; Glier, Ladislav (referee) ; Bradáč, Albert (advisor)
Master's thesis evaluates determined values of visibility from the motor vehicle on the pedestrian by reduced visibility distance when using halogen headlights, which are the results of experimental measurements a compare them with theoretical values determined by assistance of available software.
Analysis of General Polygon Boolean Operation Algorithms
Daněk, Tomáš ; Zemčík, Pavel (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with general polygon boolean operation algorithms. Boolean operations are e.g. intersection, union or difference. A general polygon can be e.g. a selfinterecting polygon with inner hole. Clipping of polygons against a rectangular window is probably the most familiar boolean operation on polygons. At first, basic definitions are listed. Then the principles of a selected set of boolean operation algorithms are reviewed. Finally, a complex comparison of the algorithms is undertaken. Performance as well as the ability to handle degenerate cases are tested. The output of this thesis is an overall evaluation of algorithm properties and a dynamic library that contains the implementation of all of the tested algorithms.
Benefits of Nursing now project for the Czech healthcare system.
ŠAFRÁNKOVÁ, Tereza
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to map what Nursing Now project brings to Czech healthcare system. Theoretical part of thesis is focused on nursing, nurse profession and nurse education. Further it informs about Nursing Now project. Empirical part of thesis was made by quantitative and qualitative research method. Quantitative research was performed using a questionnaire, which was answered by 207 respondents. To reach the aim of thesis the hypotheses were set: 1. There is statistically significant relationship between the opinion on the benefit of the Nursing Now project for the Czech healthcare system and the education of nurses. 2. There is statistically significant relationship between the opinion on the benefit of the Nursing Now project for the Czech healthcare system and the job of nurses. 3. There is statistically significant relationship between joining to project Nursing Now and the education of nurses. Qualitative research was performed by semi-structured interview. The Interview was conducted with expert group in the field of Nursing Now project. The group consisted of six informants. To reach the aim of thesis were set research questions: How to define a Nursing Now project? What are the goals of Nursing Now Czech Republic? How Nursing Now project affected Czech healthcare? What benefit has the Nursing Now project for Czech healthcare system? How will the goals of Nursing Now be met in future? From the results was processed, the project helped to nurses and nursing increase visibility in society. But the benefits of the project could be affected by pandemics. It was found that the opinion on the benefits of the project does not depends on education but depends on the job position of the nurse. It was also found that the participation in project is not determined by the education of the nurse. The results of the research may be inspirational for other projects, which could contribute to nursing and healthcare development.
GIS analýza viditelnosti významného bodu v krajině a její ověření v terénu
LORENCOVÁ, Iva
This bachelor thesis focuses on the analysis of the visibility of the Hluboká nad Vltavou state chataus, using ArcGIS software. The aim of this work was to crate a visibility analysis for two differenc digital models and compare them. The theoretical part of the thesis contains a literature search that describes geographic information sys-tems, the creation of digital models and visibility. The practical part of the work is focused on the description of obtaining data for the work and also contains a more detailed description of the area of interest for which the visibility analysis was pro-cessed. The methodology contains a detailed description of data processing for the cration of a digital model of the surface of the 1. generation and digital model of the relief of the 5. generation. Furthermore, the practical part of the work describes a detailed procedure for creating a visibility analysis. Subsequently, the results are evaluated and verified in the field
Improvements of Shadow Rendering
Efficient visibility calculation for light transport simulation in participating media
Houška, Čestmír ; Křivánek, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Karlík, Ondřej (referee)
Title: Efficient visibility calculation for light transport simulation in participating media Author: Čestmír Houška Department / Institute: Department of Software and Computer Science Educa- tion Supervisor of the master thesis: doc. Ing. Jaroslav Křivánek, Ph.D. Abstract: This thesis investigates the use of acceleration methods for the testing of visibility in light transport calculation algorithms with the emphasis on conser- vativeness and low accelerated query overhead. Several published non-directional and directional distance field methods are presented with the description of their characteristic properties. Two of these methods are then implemented and thor- oughly tested in an existing rendering framework on a path tracing volumetric integrator as well as on an own implementation of a ray marching single scattering integrator. A method that further accelerates the original distance field methods by pre-caching results of some of the queries is also proposed, implemented and tested. Furthermore, several possible extensions to this method are outlined. Keywords: computer graphics, rendering, participating media, visibility
Visibility at the Praha Ruzyne airport
Kusáková, Kateřina ; Žák, Michal (advisor) ; Pišoft, Petr (referee)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is to show the importance of visibility in flight operations. There are settled minima of visibility for each process, which must be achieved. Visibility has its own daily range, which is closely connected with solar radiation. Its also connected with a vertical structure of atmosphere, direction and speed of wind and current weather conditions. Visibility achieves its lowest values during intensive precipitations and in a fog. Mainly because of an appearance and lasting of a fog, there are compilations at the airport and very often a special procedures must be taken for an organization of flight operations. An appearance and lasting of a fog has a big influence on flight operations and that is why I pay an attention to this in my work. I concentrated myself not only on the daily range of visibility and its dependency on the direction of a wind, but on conditions of appearance and ending the fog as well.
Relationship between the UV index and selected parameters
Tomanová, Helena ; Pokorná, Lucie (advisor) ; Metelka, Ladislav (referee)
Relationship between the UV index and selected parameters Abstract Ultraviolet radiation (UV radiation) is a shortwave radiation with wavelengths from 100 to 400 nm. This radiation has both positive and negative effects on living organisms and human health. Therefor the so-called UV index (UVI), characterizing the biological effect of UV radiation on human health was defined in 1994. This thesis aims to evaluate the link between selected factors (total ozone column, solar elevation angel, cloudiness and altitude) and the UVI values. Observed data at four stations in Czechia (Hradec Králové, Košetice, Kuchařovice, Labská bouda) and SYNOP reports from the four nearest stations during the period 2010−2017 were used. The Sun elevation (angle of Sun ray) has the strongest effect on the UVI values. The highest UVI values are generally reached at high angels when the Sun rays go the shortest path through the atmosphere. The increase of the UVI is exponential, from an angle of 30ř the increase is approximately linear. The UVI values increase on average by 0.8 at the Hradec Králové station and by 0.9 at the Labská bouda station for angle increasing by 5ř. The effect of clouds is significant and depends on the height and the clouds amount. High level clouds reduce UVI negligible, overcast sky by only 15 %. Medium and...
