The diploma thesis is devoted to the analysis of problems, which have the projects realized in the public administration and which arised in the public administration during the project management. The aim of the diploma thesis is to identify arisen problems, which occured during the project management in the public administration and to make a recommendation according to PRINCE2 methodology for more efficient project management. The first part is theoretical. There are mentioned the particular methodologies of the project management and the analysis of their strong and weak points. There are also mentioned the differences of the private and public sector. The PRINCE2 methodology is parsed in more detail. The second part is practical. There are processed results of investigative questionare from public administration, when survey was conducted by project managers from municipalities and regions. From investigation questionnaire there is a key finding and recommendation of how to solve problems according to methodology PRINCE2.

This thesis deals with consolidated financial statement in Slovak public sector. The legislation needed for consolidation, as well as its importance in public sector is described, but also the methods of consolidation are explained on specific examples. The thesis is composed of the consolidation process itself, and the subsequent creation of consolidated financial statement, including all needed statements, for Sverepec for 2013.

The practical part focuses on specific example of building a house. The discussion is a summary of the positives and negatives of changes in current building law.

Bachelor thesis deals with methods of Quality management in public admini-stration with a detailed focus on Benchmarking. Frameworks of research part are consisting of methods Local Agenda 21, ISO Standards, Balanced Scorecard and Citizen's Charter. Benchmarking method is specified in its own chapter, as it is a key passage in this work. There are being described processes, types, cycle and phase of Benchmarking. Empiricial part of the thesis deals with effects of Otrokovice in Benchmarking Initiative 2005 project and the application of Benchmarking as a management method of the municipality. It presents the results of comparison with other mem-ber cities in selected agenda's. Measure of success identifies positives, negatives and appropriate steps to improve.

Využití konceptu Partnerství pro místní rozvoj na příkladu Brna

Diploma thesis deals with applying the principles of the concept "Partnership for Local Development" using Brno as an example. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part focuses on explaining the terms region, regional development, public administration, enterprise, town and village marketing, and strategic management. In the practical part there are analyzed results of the marketing research, with the help of which advantages and drawbacks of further development from the viewpoint of Brno inhabitants were investigated. The conclusion of the work is dedicated to suggested measures for improvement of the identified situation.

The matter of this thesis “Internal and financial control of the public sector” is evaluation of systems of internal and financial control in the Czech Republic and its efficiency. In the first part there is included literature review that creates complex overview about the current control systems of the Czech Reoublic, legislative that is currently in effect and the recently planned changes in control. This part also describes how the control systems in other countries work and the influence of Czech membership in the EU. In the second part there is an evaluation of management of public finances and control systems of selected entity, analysis that uncovers strengths and weaknesses of the system and suggestions of remedial actions to improve the current systems.

The diploma thesis is focused on employee retention in public administration in the Mikulovsko microregion. The aim of the diploma thesis evaluate the economic impacts of employee turnover and at the same time to propose measures for the optimization and stability of human resources in public administration. This thesis is based on qualitative and quantitative research and reports of public administration institutions, an analysis of fluctuation and quantification of the costs of fluctuation were performed. Subsequently, measures and recommendations leading to the improvement of the current situation were proposed and quantified.
