Zhodnocení zdravotního stavu dřevin v Zámeckém parku v Blatné
Flandera, Robert
Robert Flandera Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology Mendel University in Brno This bachelor`s thesis deals with evaluation of state of health of trees in castle park Blatná. Suggested care, which depends on the evaluation, is in two forms, intervention on trees and new planting. Proposed care has been designed, so that park stays beautiful and majestic as long as possible. The thesis is divided into two parts : the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part, aided by technical literature, deals with explanation of important concepts, which are integral to evaluating the state of plants. It also deals with intervention and planting in the park. The practical part focuses on information concerning the trees, collected in the field and interpreted in the resulting charts and tables. It presents the results of field measurements, from which the suggested care of the park is then devised. The conclusion summarizes the whole thesis. The discussion focuses on the differences in qualitative attributes between two sites in the park.
Porovnání růstu prostokořenného a krytokořenného sadebního materiálu
Souchová, Jana
The aim of the thesis was to compare and evaluate the growth of bare-rooted and rooted seedlings of the same tree species based on the findings. All trees compared and monitored in this work were planted in the same area of the cane, in 2016. The evaluation was carried out on 4 research areas, these areas are characterized by sets of forest types 2S (fresh beech oak), 6K (sour spruce beech), 6S (fresh spruce beech) and 7K (acid beech spruce). There are three species of woody species in these areas, namely Norway spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karst.), Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii (Mirb) Franco) and European beech (Fagus silvatica L.). On each plot, 100 individuals were subjected to measurement for each variant of planting material in the autumn of 2017, for which the following parameters were evaluated: losses, height of the overground part in 2016 (which was measured after the scar marking the last increment), height of the above ground part in 2017, increment in 2017, the length of branch growth in 2017, the width of the crown, the thickness of the root neck, the trunk deflection from the vertical axis, the length and width of the assimilation apparatus, the straightness of the stem, the vitality of the plant. Based on the results, the following conclusions were drawn: On the SLT 6K surface in the case of woody beech, the variant of planting material grew better. In contrast, barkless planting stock grew better in Douglas fir tree species. The Norway spruce tree then grew better in the rooted variant. In the overall assessment of the abovementioned factors, it can be stated that on the SLT 6K the rooted seedlings grow better. In the SLT 6S area, the species of beech was found to be better growing in the bare-root variant. The Douglas fir also grew better in the bare-rooted variant and Norway spruce was best grown in the rooted roots variant. The result is that the bare-rooted planting material grows better on SLT 6S. On the area of SLT 7K there was a better growth of the beech in the rooted variant, as well as the better overall results of the spruce in the openrooted variant. Douglas fir grew better on the area in the barefoot variant. To summarize the findings of the observation on SLT 7K, it can be stated that the better results are achieved and hence the growing of the rooted planting material. In the SLT 2S area, the results for the growth of beech wood were better in the bare-rooted variant; Douglas fir tree has not been evaluated for this area due to insufficient seedlings when setting up the research area.
Vliv vysychání sadebního materiálu buku lesního a smrku ztepilého na jeho ujímavost a růst po výsadbě
Rašková, Pavlína
This bachelor thesis focuses on bad handling of bare-rooted and containerized seedlings of European beech (Fagus sylvatica L.) and Norway spruce (Picea abies L.). The aim of this thesis was to find out what influence the different length of drying of the root system of used planting material before planting, its follow-up and growth after planting and to determine critical values and times when plants are able to accept drought stress without significant losses and degradation of growth. The plants were planted as a freshly plants and after 1 and 2 weeks of establishment. The stress by drought was taking place in the shade, near the planting site for 0 to 48 hours. Along with planting, plants were tested to determine the water content of the root system or rootballs. The tested methods were the weight loss of the fine roots under constant heat stress, the measurement of the weight loss of the rootballs and the measurement moisture of the rootballs, using WHT 860, SM 300 and EMS sensors. The EMS sensor was found to be unpromising due to the inability to measure values in plants with too-dried rootballs whose plants did not show significant losses or degradation at the end of the growing season. Furthermore, it has been found that the seedlings of European beech are more predisposed to stress by drought, especially if the plants have before planting badly morphological conditions. On the contrary, the seedlings of Norway spruce are resistant to long-term stress.

Možnosti ovlivnění růstu v nových výsadbách révy vinné
Procházka, Vladimír
The first part of this dissertation is a summary of the literature that deals with the possibilities of influencing the growth of young vine plantations properly selecting and preparing the land before planting. Furthermore, it summarizes the basic agro-technical measures, especially in the first year after planting, which has a positive effect on soil microflora, good rooting and managing of moisture. It also discusses the possibilities for the treatment of soil, planting and protection of other organic materials. The second part deals with an experiment that explores the possibility of using tablet supplemental nutrition containing macro and micro elements in the planting of a young vine in three variants. The first option is a control without application, the second variant with the application of a single tablet, and a third variant administration of two tablets. The experiment took place in the Austrian wine region Traisental in 2015-2016 on the variety Grüner Veltliner. The results confirmed that the tablet supplemental nutrition had a positive effect on the growth of young plantations. However the difference in growth between the versions with one and two tablets was insignificant. Applications of this product may be recommended.
