Study of the Order Processing Management with the Focus on Manufacturing Process Management

This master thesis is focused on process of production management and scheduling in a selected company. In the first part the selected company has been described. The theoretical part contains an explanation of terms that relates to this topic. In the practical part, a process analysis of the current state of the process of production management and scheduling has been carried out, which detected certain deficiencies related to this process. The identified deficiencies are further interpreted and on the basis of the theoretical part, has been proposed a solution, which should lead to the elimination of these problems. In the final part of the thesis, the benefits of the proposed solution are determined.

This bachelor thesis examines basics of modern production management with the use of Enterprise Information System. More specifically with the use of ERP with relation to MES. The first part of the thesis is about concepts of production management, basis for information systems, ERP and MES, their implementation and integration. Next chapter of the thesis is about individual existing solutions of ERP systems. The second part of the thesis is about author's idea and realization of the ERP system tailored for project Barman.

Thesis is divided onto three particular parts. Theoretical part is focused on the research of the professional literature elaborating topics related to process engineering and order management. Analytical part includes description of current state of the manufacturing order flow through the company and SWOT analyses. Proposal part intends to find and elaborate a possible improvement in order to optimize current process.

The Company´s Costs, Their Management and Analysis

The thesis deals with analysis and cost management. It is made on the basis of the small family company MH-plast s. r. o. operating in the Highlands. First there are mentioned basic theoretical knowledges about costs and possibilities of their calculations and these theoretical findings are then applied in the methodical part, which contains the characteristics of the chosen company taking into account the evolution of its costs. Furthermore a calculation for a specific production order is compiled, chosen by the company MH-plast s. r. o., based on data provided by the management. In the final chapter there is a discussion about the results and appropriate proposals and recommendations are presented to help the company make certain changes, in order to achieve more efficient management and greater competitiveness of the company in the market.
