Optimization of infill selection with an emphasis on maximum dynamic resistance
Konvalina, Michal ; Svoboda, Petr (referee) ; Jopek, Miroslav (advisor)
The thesis deals with the study of the effect of different wall thicknesses of 3D printed infill patterns at constant cross-sectional area on their final properties under static and dynamic loading. Based on literature study, two experimental methods are chosen. The quasi-static test and the Taylor anvil test. For the experiment, square and hexagonal grid specimens are printed using FDM technology from PLA material. Quasi-static test is used to measure the static properties such as maximum compressive strength, yield stress, modulus of elasticity and to derive material model of Johnson-Cook. The dynamic impact test TAT is used to evaluate different types of patterns at high impact velocities. In ANSYS, the specimens that resisted the highest impact velocities in TAT are simulated and strain rate sensitivity parameter is optimized for the specific velocity. The highest dynamic resistance was achieved by a square infill pattern with wall thickness of 0,4 mm at an impact velocity of 37 ms-1.
Static analysis of reinforced concrete walls with additionally made openings
Šimek, Ondřej ; Borzovič, Viktor (referee) ; Vítek, Jan (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
The thesis deals with the implementation of additional openings in reinforced concrete walls from the point of view of structural analysis. Two types of walls are analysed: panel walls and infill shear walls. In the introductory part, the current state of knowledge in the methods of analysis of this issue is discussed and their advantages or shortcomings are pointed out. Several types of wall specimens with pre- or post-made openings with different types of reinforcement representing the state after an additional opening is made are proposed and their behaviour is experimentally and subsequently numerically verified. On the basis of the data obtained, methods are proposed for the structural analysis and the design of reinforced concrete walls with additional openings. For panel walls with openings, the analysis method using wall models is extended and the method of static assessment is specified. The method of analysis for infill shear walls with an opening using equivalent diagonal bar strut has been extended to take account for the reinforcement and its load state. The proposed structural analysis methods were applied to a real prefabricated house with an additional opening and to a hypothetical frame structure with a proposed structural intervention in its bracing system.
Design of column
Marko, Libor ; Buzík, Jiří (referee) ; Nováček, Filip (advisor)
The thesis contains information about the design of pressure vessels and describes their individual parts. It is mentioned production of individual parts and the process including assembly parts in one unit. The thesis includes options of control and testing of pressure vessels. It is described kinds of built-ins of distillation column and the basic principles and types of distillation. It is created stress analysis of pressure vessels parts according to ČSN EN 13 445 – 3, and also stress analysis of the selected part of column by using FEM. Mechanical drawing of distillation column is part of the thesis.
Prevention of defects during tube bending
Procházka, Libor ; Štroner, Marek (referee) ; Peterková, Eva (advisor)
The bachelor thesis describes the most occurring defects of tube´s component bending. The first part of this thesis is focused on a detailed research of these unwanted phenomenons. The second part contains complete list of possibilities in the defects reduction. There are quoted the suitability and the terms of use for an individual eliminative methods in the second part of this thesis, too. The last part of this bachelor thesis contains classifying of elimination possibilities to the particular types of defects.
Návrh vchodových dveří do rodinného domu
Severa, Zdeněk
This thesis deals with the design of the entrance door to the family house. Theoretical part of this thesis is focused on the parameters of the entrance doors (e. g. sound insulation, thermal insulation, safety requirements, weather resistance and tightness) and summary of materials used for making of the entrance doors. The thesis highlights the requirements and appropriateness that it is necessary to consider in design such as aesthetic, positioning, material, used fittings and functionality. The practical part of the thesis presents three concrete designs of entrance door, one of them is described in more detail in the enclosed drawing documentation.
