Didactic Potentiality of Folk Art for Primary School Pupils

The concept of this diploma thesis is based on folklore, folklorism, national art, folk customs and traditions, specifically in the region of Moravian Slovakia. In the theoretical part, I define these terms. I point out the misuse of folklore for political or advertising purposes. I introduce artists who have dealt with the processing of folklore in the visual arts, and at the same time I introduce contemporary artists who have been inspired by Moravian Slovakia folklore motifs. In the research part, I chose the method of structured interviews of five respondents active in the field of folklore, and my goal was to subsequently analyze these interviews and identify meaning nodes. What is most important for the respondents is not a surprise to me, but a confirmation and sorting of ideas so that it can be a solid basis for pedagogical activities. The practical part offers a pedagogical portfolio, which is verified in practice, and there is an effort to use its didactic potential in primary school. Efficiency of destinations marketing campaigns on the example of The German National Tourist Board

The diploma thesis focuses on the issue of evaluating the efficiency of destination marketing campaigns that is becoming increasingly important in relation to the incresing competition on the tourism market and the changes in the system of setting public support in this sector. The theoretical part deals with the concept of tourism destination, possibilities of marketing communication for national tourist organizations and describes the evaluation of the campaigns efficiency according to the methodology of VisitBritain. The practical part focuses on the activities and strategy of The German National Tourist Board (GNTB) and its main campaign for the year 2015- Traditions and Customs. The aim of this thesis is especially the testing of the methodology for assessment of destination marketing impact developed by the VisitBritain and the following adjustment of the methodology based on the results of the survey and the evaluation of the campaign.
Changes in following the Romani traditions and customs

This thesis deals with changes in following traditions and customs in the Romani lives and its aim is to map and describe these changes. In its first, theoretical part there is a description of important times in the history of the Romani living on the Czech land, in which the Romani were, often under the threat of loss of their freedom, and sometimes even life, forced to change their lifestyle and adapt themselves to the majority society. The influence of the society was the reason why the Romani stopped following some of their traditions and customs and did not pass them on to the younger generations of the Romani; that is why, with time, many traditions and customs became forgotten. The second, practical part contains interviews with concrete Romani, their assessment and discussion, in which there is a comparison of the information I got with the data gathered by the authors quoted. After assessment of the interviews it is evident that the older Romani and the Romani born before the 1980 are well aware of their traditions and customs and follow some of the traditions in their families. The younger generation, however, are not interested in the traditional life of their ancestors, they do not follow the traditions and customs by themselves; they have adapted their lifestyles and systems of values to the majority society; they often do not consider themselves to be Romani.
