Canada's trade policy

The aim of the thesis titled Canada's trade policy is to analyze the current Canadian trade policy including its objectives, trade policy instruments that Canada uses for the implementation of its trade policy and how Canada is trying to contribute to the liberalization on the world trade. The first part of the thesis explains the concept of trade policy, introduces the current economic situation of Canada and analyzes the Canadian foreign trade. The most important chapter is devoted to the autonomous and contractual instruments of the trade policy of Canada. The aim of the last chapter is to show through two examples of Canadian trade disputes at the WTO how the decisions taken in these disputes can affect Canadian trade policy.

Trade relations between India and the EU

The bachelor thesis is focused on the analysis of trade relations between India and the EU. The first chapter describes the development of bilateral relations between India and the EU and strengthening of their cooperation, mainly in the area of trade. There are also mentioned the barriers to trade which impede closer cooperation. The second chapter focuses on characteristic of bilateral trade in goods and services and on the flow of foreign direct investment. Tha last part is addressed to the issue of trade cooperation between India and the EU in the future, concretely in terms of the World Trade Organization and in terms of the upcoming free trade area.

Analysis of the WTO Dispute DS 335 (US Antidumping Measure on Shrimp from Ecuador)

Bachelor dissertation analyzes in detail the WTO dispute DS 335 on US antidumping measure on shrimp imports from Ecuador and particularly the practice of "zeroing". The thesis places the dispute in the context of international trade in shrimp, analyzes reasons that led to its opening, i.e. differences between the rules for the antidumping investigation set in the WTO Antidumping Agreement and the rules in force in the US. The thesis evaluates, above all, the consequences resulting from the dispute for the parties as well as the international trade, since the Panel Report was issued until present.

WTO dispute analysis

Bachelor thesis is divided to four chapters. In the first chapter is described the settling disputes mechanism. The second chapter is concerned with dispute between Japan and USA, referring to measures imposed on the import of apples to Japan. The third chapter analyses process of the dispute and its results. The last chapter refers to importance of dispute to the international trade.
