Morphofunctional characteristics and physical activity profile in Czech elite traceurs

Theme: Morphofunctional characteristics and physical aktivity profile in Czech elite traceurs Aims: The aim of the work is to describe anthropometric and somatic characteristics and movement profile in elite Czech parkourists. Methods: The research group consisted of 20 men of the elite category of traceurs, (actively competing, n = 5, competing in community competitions, n = 8 and noncompetitors, n = 7). To obtain the necessary parameters, the following will be used: 1. parameters of body typology according to the somatotype methodology (Heath and Carter, 1967). 2. Parameters of body composition and bone health obtained from Dualenergy X-ray absorptiometers (DXA) according to Hologic methodology 3. Parameters of physical activity profile obtained from Actigraf GTX9 according to Actilife methodology. Results: The average somatotype of the evaluated traceurs was 1.8±0,7 - 4.9±0,9 - 3.0±0,7, which means classification into the category of ectomorphic mesomorphs and group B, characteristic of versatile gifted individuals. The traceurs' somatotypes were different with regard to their categorization. The highest values of the mesomorphic component were measured for the group of active competitors and the highest values of the ectomorphic component in the group of non-competitors. The impact of placing parkour to the OG on the viewership of gymnastics and its popularity

Title: The impact of placing parkour to the OG on the viewership of gymnastics and its popularity Objectives: The aim of this work was to find out whether the inclusion of parkour at the OG will have an impact on gymnastics viewership and its popularity. The partial goals were to find out the respondents' awareness of parkour and gymnastics and their viewership. Methods: The main goal of the bachelor's thesis required a primary data collection. The research used a quantitative method of questionnaire and could not be done without an operationalization, which was a part of the preliminary elaboration of the research procedure. The research file was selected by an available selection. The questioning was conducted in the electronic form on the Vyplnto.cz website. The research took place in May 2021 and the final research file contained 63 respondents. Results: It was found that the inclusion of parkour in the OG would affect the viewership of gymnastics and its popularity. Gymnastics are currently declining in popularity, while parkour is very popular, especially among teenagers. The teenagers are the ones on whom gymnastics should focus its promotional activities, as these individuals are interested in parkour. Keywords: traceur, popularity, contest, fan, independence
