Muczka, Vojtěch ; Patočka, Miroslav (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis is related to a renovation of a historical induction motor and parameter comparison with modern equivalent. The first part describes the working principal of an induction motor. The next part is dedicated to the process of renovation of this motor, measurements and calculations of its parameters, followed by evaluation of parameter differences between historical and modern motor.
Measurement of DC and EC motors characteristics
Chlebný, Radek ; Cipín, Radoslav (referee) ; Vondruš, Jiří (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis deals with commutator direct current motors and electronically commutated motors of company Maxon motor AG. The first part of its deals basic structural elements and focuses on the characteristics of these engines, such as lifetime, revolution properties, efficiency and control methods. The thesis deals with properties, principle of operation and construction of hysteresis brake. Another important theme is improved by the construction of the dynamometer. The last part contains the actual measurement of DC commutator motors assigned Maxon RE and Maxon S, which are loaded with hysteresis brake and final evaluation measurements comparing measured values with the data producer.
Battery supplied lawn mower
Picmaus, Jan ; Martiš, Jan (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
The thesis deals with a concept of turning a conventional petrol powered lawn mower to a battery powered solution which is powered by lithium cells. A division to three chapters, comparison, mechanical and electrical, provides fluency of the whole design and further realization. The arrangement of chapters is performed so that the continuity of the thesis is maintained. Calculations of parameters of every motor and transmission with choosing particular devices are just a part of much interesting information which can be found in this thesis. All new components have full documentation except those which were changed during manufacturing. The electrical part explains every part of the schematics in detail. The realization contains difference between preliminary design and further production, manufacturing of the PCB and powering up the motor drives. The last part of the thesis contains temperature measurements of the device at no load.
Improving energy parameters of single-phase induction motors
Dospěl, Leoš ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
Bachelor thesis Improving energy parameters of single-phase induction motors deals with issues of lowering the losses of a small single-phase induction motor J22VV506 from ATAS Elektromotory Náchod a.s.. The first part deals with the theory of asynchronous motors and the issue of losses and their reduction is described in this part as well. In the second part engine parameters are measured and calculated efficiency of the machine and suggested ways to reduce losses. In the last part is measuring motor with the proposed regulation.
Analysis and Innovation of DC Motors
Štaffa, Jiří ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
This work deals with direct-current electric motor, type P2XR49, by firm ATAS elektromotory Nachod a.s. At first there is an introduction with the principal of running, starting, controlling of revolutions and commutating of direct-current machine. The implementation of direct-current machines contains a construction and a list of machine parts, a type of winding and types of small motors that had been used. It is ordered according to a type of excitation. The work includes detailed procedure of admeasurements of speed-torque characteristic mostly used in practice. There is a large number of machine characteristics. The speed-torque characteristic was measured in constant voltage rating into current rating in the direction of rotation CCW upwardly and CW on strength of current rating. Machine innovation, decrease in volt drop on the commutator, was chosen because commutator is the most problematic part of the machine. If the contact pressure is increased the transition resistance will be lesser and consequently the volt drop on the commutator will be lesser.
Increase of efficiency of a single phase induction machine
Muczka, Vojtěch ; Klíma, Jiří (referee) ; Mach, Martin (advisor)
This thesis is dedicated to efficiency increase of one phase induction machine through material change of induction cage and rotor slot shape optimization under the condition of maintaining the same locked-rotor torque. In the first part of this thesis is the explanation of induction machine principles. Next is the comparison of measured and simulated parameters of small one phase machine from ATAS company. The following part is dedicated to the analysis of rotor slot shape and ring size influence on machine parameters when using pure aluminum instead of resistive alloy. The next chapter deals with slot shape optimization in the program RMxprt, controlled by genetic algorithm written in MATLAB interface. In the final part are the resultant slot shapes simulated in Ansys Maxwell using finite element method and then the measured, simulated and expected parameters are compared.
Losses analysis of small induction motors
Šišák, David ; Cipín, Radoslav (referee) ; Mach, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with analysis of losses of small induction motors. The first part of the project introduces the principle of operation and construction of induction motors. Furthermore, there is dealt with issuing each losses, their origin and disposition in induction motor. The project continues performing the analytical computation of the losses of induction motor with an output of 600 W. The losses of the motor are also calculated in the program Maxvell RMxprt. In the practical part, there are the results of the laboratory measurement on that motor and measurements concerning two another small induction motors different in nominal power. In the last part, there are compared the results of individual motor losses, obtained by computations and measuring. There are also compared the measuring results of losses of chosen motors depending on the nominal output.
Impact of core length on efficiency of a small induction machine
Žalkovský, Antonín ; Toman, Marek (referee) ; Mach, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with design issues of small induction machine, analyze the effects of changing length of the magnetic circuit on its efficiency. The theoretical part describes structural components of induction motor and working principle. The practical part focus on calculation of equivalent model of assigned induction machine for determined range of magnetic circuit lengths and the number of conductors in the stator groove. Follows calculations of torque characteristic and current characteristic, calculation of losses in all parts of induction machine and determine the efficiency. Another part of thesis is aim at measurement of original induction motor and motor with lengthened magnetic circuit. The last part is focused on analysis and comparing the calculated values.
