Design of manufacturing technology for car carpet
Kavan, David ; Žák, Ladislav (referee) ; Kandus, Bohumil (advisor)
The main goal of this bachelor thesis is design of a manufacturing technology for car carpet made from a thermoplastic elastomer. Car carpet will be produced by injection molding with a hot runner system in a series of 42 000 units per year. At first there is an analysis of the current technologies, enclosed with a summary of reasons for the changes in manufacturing technology. Then following is a general review of the literature relating to plastic materials and injection molding technology. In the practical part a suitable material is chosen, injection molding machine is chosen according to calculated technological parameters and a conceptual design of an injection mold for car carpet is executed. The last part is a technical and economical evaluation comparing the current production technology with the newly proposed technology.
Design of manufacturing technology for door elastomer grommet
Kavan, David ; Stehlík, Ing. Jaroslav (referee) ; Kandus, Bohumil (advisor)
The goal of this project is design of manufacturing technology for door elastomer grommet in a series of 400 000 units per year. As a proposed solution of manufacturing technology has been chosen multicomponent injection moulding. Appropriate thermoplastic elastomer and polyamide was chosen based on the knowledge gained in theoretical study of materials and technologies elaborated in the second part of the project. Moreover, the shape of the door grommnet was redesigned in accordance with the chosen technology. Working machine was chosen from manufacturer Arburg, model Allrounder 630S in a two-shot design, complemented by the index unit. A cost of production of one piece of the door grommet was determined in an economic evaluation. This cost was compared with current cost of production and new technology reducing manufacturing costs of one series by 25%.
Influence of nanoparticles on polymer chains in solution.
Bayer, Adam ; Chamradová, Ivana (referee) ; Jančář, Josef (advisor)
High surface area of used nanoparticles and their comparable size with polymer chains, are the most important characteristics of fillers in the preparation of non-Newtonian suspensions. Such structures at different concentrations have major influence on the rheological behavior of polymer solution in solvent. With increasing volume fraction of nanofiller, there is pseudoplastic or dilatant behavior present in the dissolved elastomers. Diploma thesis studies the influence of the concentration of different elastomers (SBR and SEBS copolymers) and nanofiller (hydrophobic nanosilica) in suspension, of rheological properties.
Materials of football shoes
Ponížil, Ondřej ; Doležal, Pavel (referee) ; Molliková, Eva (advisor)
This thesis is about materials of football boots and possibilities of their technological process. The thesis is divided into three main parts. The introduction part contains the basic facts about football and there is also a description of historical development of the football boots which includes advantages and disadvantages of the structure at that time. The second part presents permeable, flexible and durable materials which can be used to produce the upper part of the boots. In this part there are described attributes of the most common technological process which produces synthetic leathers. The final part is about polyamides and thermoplastics elastomers from which the football soles are made.
