TITLE: Higher professional schools in education system AUTHOR: Ing. Bc. Lenka Bombera Piskačová, DiS. DEPARTMENT: The School Management Center SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Romana Lisnerová ABSTRACT This Baccalaureate Thesis deals with issues concerning situation of higher vocational schools within the framework of educational system of the Czech Republic. Its first part presents a historical outline and characteratizion of the higher vocational schools, schools network , number of students etc. To make this Thesis, I have used available materials and databases which became also base for carriyng out a SWOTanalysys with strong and weak points, as well as opportunities and threats in tertiary sphere. In the final part of the Thesis there has been set an evaluation and outline of existing potential for future of the higher vocational schools.
