Modern Cooling Concepts of Electrical Machines
Lukášek, Jan ; Cipín, Radoslav (referee) ; Toman, Marek (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the research of modern concepts of cooling of electrical machines. The first part of the thesis deals with the origin and calculation of losses causing heating of electrical machines. The second part describes the mechanisms of heat transfer and basic relations of fluid mechanics. The third part describes the basic principles of cooling of electrical machines. The final part of the thesis describes modern concepts and innovations in cooling systems for electrical machines described in the third part and separate modern innovations.
Solar collectors with vacuum tubes
Petruška, Bohumil ; Katolický, Jaroslav (referee) ; Jaroš, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with solar collectors with vacuum tubes. The first part is focused on describing the function of the collectors, comparing with other types of solar collectors followed by specifications of their usage. Another topic is the heat transfer fluid that is used for transmission of heat, and therefore it is an important component of a collector. The last part deals with an application concept of use of a vacuum tube solar collector, including basic energetic and economic calculation.
Experimental stand for rotational heat pipe verification
Liška, Martin ; Sikora, Michal (referee) ; Vlach, Radek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis presents a design of an experimental stand for testing of cooling effects on electrical machines trough rotational heat pipe and mainly with design and construction of experimental stand, that represents rotational heat pipe of real machine rotor. Pipe is heated by means of resistance conductor winding and average temperature on a pipe surface is scanned with a additional parallel winding. Experimental stand was designed for subsequent experiments and for evaluating of rotational heat pipe parameters.
Design and optimization of the control valve for EHRS exchanger
Rada, Jakub ; Svída, David (referee) ; Beran, Martin (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design and optimization of the control valve for EHRS exchanger. The first part of the thesis contains a research describing the historical development of internal combustion engines, their impact on the environment and especially the possible ways of waste heat recovery. The second part focuses on the design of the control valve and experimental measurement to verify its functionality. The final part contains an analysis of pressure losses of the designed valve to improve its construction disadvantages.
Experimental stand for properties verify of heat pipe in the electric machine shaft
Kučera, Jaroslav ; Cipín, Radoslav (referee) ; Vlach, Radek (advisor)
My bachelor thesis follows my semestral work, which was devoted to the design of the measuring station simulating the cooling of the rotor of the electric machine using a thermal tube in the shaft, and extends it to a practical test, where the measurement verifies the correctness of my design and the proper functioning of all its parts. During the measurement, the software was modified to provide more accurate temperature control in the heated chamber. The basic assumptions have been confirmed. As has been demonstrated during the experiments, greater attention should be paid to the material for the formation of chambers.
