Use of cold kinetic deposition technology on materials used in electrical engineering
Sámel, Maroš ; Zimáková, Jana (referee) ; Binar, Tomáš (advisor)
The purpose of this diploma thesis is to get a better understanding of cold kinetic deposition (cold spray), principles of functioning of this method followed by an evaluation of advantages and disadvantages of cold spray and its comparison to conventional thermal methods and a simple summary of the practical use of cold spray with respect to different materials. Next there is a summary of the properties and uses of frequently applied metals in electrical engineering, aluminium and copper, description of metal corrosion and an understanding of the diagnostic method of acoustic emission. In the practical part, a sample with copper cold spray coating on aluminium substrate was created. Following, this sample was split for corrosion tests, where the split samples were exposed to a corrosive environment for different times of exposure. The extent of corrosion degradation of the samples was evaluated by acoustic emission and metallographic analysis for corrosion-loaded samples for 100, 200 and 300 hours. In the end, an illustrative design of the application of the cold spray technology was created.
Using konduktometric method for conductivity measurement of the corrosive layer of lead alloys
Neoral, Jiří ; Vaněk, Jiří (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
Lead-acid batteries are the oldest and most common type of secondary cells. Their biggest use is as a power source for a car starter. Bipolar lead-acid batteries could also be used for new applications such as power sources for hybrid electrical vehicles (HEV) for their high power. But there are still many technical problems limiting its use in these applications, which have to be overcome. This could cover parasite reactions as is gas creation, heat removal from the battery and another big problem is substrate corrosion. This diploma thesis concerns the actual state of bipolar lead batteries in the world with detail orientation to substrate corrosion. This thesis describes the conductometric method of lotion conductivity measurement and its modification for measurement of lead grid conductivity. From that we can find out, that when material loses more conductivity, the greater the corrosion. This thesis describes needed preparative experiments for assurance, that the conductometric method can be used for corrosion speed measurement and there are other experiments testing different lead alloys for corrosion speed.
Estimation of biogas production in biogas plant
Heger, Jan ; Vondra, Marek (referee) ; Touš, Michal (advisor)
The focus of this thesis are calculation methods for biogas yield estimation in biogas plant. The aim is to get acquainted with calculation methods and to determine their accuracy by calculation. Refining biogas production estimates can be useful for case studies, feasibility studies, or technical-economic assessments. The available calculation methods are tested on a case study where a comparison with the operational data measured in the biogas plant in Valašské Meziříčí is accomplished using the extended Buswell method and tabulated values. Comparing this case study, a result was obtained where the calculation by the Buswell method reached very accurate values, whereas the calculation by tabulated values differed more from the measured values and the method achieved a less accurate result.
Možnosti pěstování hub v České republice
Ochonský, Petr
This thesis examines the diversity of cultivated mushrooms available in the Czech Republic, their growth conditions, and the economics of their cultivation. Data for the study were collected through a questionnaire, a field survey, and interviews with mushroom growers in the Czech Republic, including a visit to a mushroom farm. The findings revealed a diverse range of cultivated mushrooms available in the domestic market. However, public knowledge about various cultivated mushroom species and their importance is limited. The survey found that 82.98% of people consume mushrooms. Their average consumption in the Czech Republic is 2.4 kg/person/year. The most well-known cultivated mushrooms in the Czech Republic include Agaricus bisporus (98.94%), Pleurotus ostreatus (93.62%), shiitake (29.79%), truffle (21.99%), and Auricularia auricula-judae (18.44%). The survey shows that increasing the population's awareness of mushrooms and their importance will be appropriate. The economic demands of cultivating oyster mushrooms have shown that it is costly and not very profitable. Last but 8 not least, it is also necessary to deal with the possibilities of using mushrooms in various sectors.
Development and analysis of a database of reactions catalyzed by cytochrome P450 enzymes for machine learning applications
Komorníková, Natália ; Pluskal, Tomáš (advisor) ; Berka, Karel (referee)
Cytochrome P450 enzymes are hemoproteins showing extraordinary di- versity in the reactions they catalyze. We developed a database containing all the needed data to provide a comprehensive data source on reactions cat- alyzed by cytochrome P450 enzymes. This data mainly includes information about the substrates, products of characterized reactions, and the sequence of these enzymes. The database was developed by collecting data from reliable protein and reaction databases like UniProt and RHEA. The work presents an in-depth analysis of the created database of reactions catalyzed by cy- tochrome P450 enzymes. This database can be utilized for future machine learning approaches to predict the function of uncharacterized cytochrome P450s.
