Social management of intragender nudity Hana Tomková In this thesis, I examine women's behaviour in spaces with limited privacy, such as changing rooms and showers at sports venues or wellness facilities. In the theoretical part of the thesis I try to use the literature to highlight the issue of judging not only female nudity and the issue of increased female veiling in spaces where intragender nudity is expected. In this first, theoretical, part, I deal with the definition of shame and its possible presence in such spaces. I formulate the assumption that this shame, and by extension increased levels of veiling, may be due to the judgement of bodies based on the prevalence of medical and other professional discourses among the lay public. I use Foucaultian theories of judging the obedience and utility of the body to define such judgments in this thesis, where I attempt to point out that in our, modern, age, experts are not the only ones with the power to judge. In this thesis I have used qualitative research, specifically ethnographic and autoethnographic observations, supplemented by interviews. Böhmová, Z.; Adam and Eve - nudity in Art and what to do with it in art education. [Diploma thesis] Prague 2015 - Charles University, Faculty of education, 106 pages. This thesis is analysing nudity by comparing religious, moral and political documents with perception of everyday reality and artistic portrayal. It follows the changes of paradigm of nudity in European culture since the start of Christianity. The objective of this thesis is to find the roots of connection between nudity and abashment. It finds the origins of finding nudity erotic and its connection with pornography. In the didactic part it tries to introduce this topic into visual arts education, defining this idea throughout artistic activities and comprehension of the changes in perception of naked body in modern painting. With the use of the medium of painting the semiotic character of nudity is being researched as well as the signs that reference nudity.

The Other Between Phenomenon and Dialogue

The thesis is concerned with the matter of intersubjectivity, traditionally called as ?a question of the other minds?. The new approach in this area was brought mainly by two philosophical movements: by phenomenology and by dialogical personalism. They both reacted to each other in this point, and their reflexions upon this matter resulted in very outstanding discoveries, with influence untill nowadays. Thesis introduces the concept of the Other in each of both mentioned traditions, simultaneously tries to grasp surprisingly similar result of philosofical analysis in different traditions, and also tries to stress the primacy of ethics in historical development of both traditions as a place of meeting of (the other) minds.

Providing the patient´s privacy on regular wards and intensive care units Abstract At present, dignity and intimacy of a patient has been increasingly put in the shade. The issue of security of intimacy differs at each ward. The objective of the bachelor thesis on the topic ``Security of intimacy of a patient at a standard ward, an anaesthesiology-resuscitation ward and an intensity care ward{\crqq} is to map out the knowledge of nurses in the field of intimacy and its observance at various sorts of wards. Conducting a number of activities, a nurse enters the intimate zone of a patient and disturbs their intimacy. Therefore we intended to ascertain whether nurses have sufficient knowledge in this field. In a number of cases, patients are not able to defend themselves so their protection is to be secured by the health workers who should behave in the manner respecting the patients in any situation and state. They must do anything not to disturb their intimacy at all or only to a minimal extent. For this reason we raised the questions: Do nurses observe intimacy of patients sufficiently? Do the nurses working at an anaesthesiology-resuscitation ward (ARO) and an intensity care ward (JIP) observe the intimacy principles more than the nurses at standard wards? The research group consisted of the nurses working at ARO, JIP and standard wards of surgical sections in Nemocnice České Budějovice a.s. and Nemocnice Český Krumlov a.s. The research method I used was a questionnaire. Hypothesis No. 1 that nurses have a sufficient knowledge in the field of intimacy was confirmed on the basis of the knowledge test results. Regrettably, hypothesis No. 2 that nurses observe patient intimacy insufficiently was confirmed. Hypothesis No. 3 that the nurses working at ARO and JIP wards observe the principles of intimacy security more than the nurses working at a standard ward was not confirmed. It follows from the results of the research that while nursing the patients, nurses observe the principles of intimacy security insufficiently at all the types of wards. On the basis of the undertaken research, the hospitals that have not internal regulations (guidelines) on this issue elaborated should do so e.g. in the form of ``Ten Rules of Patient Privacy{\crqq} and should pay attention to observance of principles of patient intimacy protection. It is necessary that the nurses serve as defenders of the patients{\crq} rights in this field.
