Process and rate of disability among seniors

The most characteristic feature of the demographic development in the Czech Republic and other developed countries is population ageing. The aim of the thesis "The process and rate of disability among seniors" was to determine the extent to which disability interferes with the lives of the seniors and to map the development, progress and conditions of the pension system. After an introductory overview of basic concepts, a part of the thesis deals with a theoretical analysis of the European framework of social security of seniors and another part is concerned with the reform of disability pensions in the Czech Republic. The focus is also on the forms of care for disabled pensioners. The empirical part analyzes the areas related to the development of population structure, administrative agenda, overview of pensions according to the WHO diagnosis groups, total overview of disability pensions, the development of the structure of pensions, financing of pension administration, and the average age of retired people. The economic side is also included, where pensions are compared with average salary and also the economic activity of seniors. Population development in the political district of Kutná Hora in the period of 1880-1910 Abstract This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of population development in the political district of Kutna Hora during years 1880-1910. The political district of Kutna Hora was divided in two judicial districts - Kutna Hora and Uhlirske Janovice. The area of Kutna Hora belonged to the Czech regions where changes of ongoing demographic revolution were implemented very soon. This was thanks to the district town where more job opportunities in industry and services occurred. The judicial district of Uhlirske Janovice belonged to the regions oriented more on agriculture. Handcraft and glass industry were traditional for the villages in this region. Analyse of economy of chosen Czech health insurance companies

This diploma thesis analyse economy of chosen Czech health insurance companies and the impact of a factor of demographic structure. Main part of the thesis is an analysis of economy of health insurance companies. The thesis is divided into four parts. First chapter represents theoretical base for analysis as a whole and describe health system and subjects, which take place there. Second chapter is focused on selection criteria to choose insurance companies, which are subjects to investigation and their short introduction. In the third and the central part of the work are used theoretical knowledge got from health regulation or books, especially information took from annual reports and bases institutions as ÚZIS or ČSÚ. In the final part is made evaluation of information learned and their further use.
The demographic development of the European Union

The aim of this Master's thesis is to describe the past and future demographic development of selected EU countries. The second aim is to utilize methods for multicriteria evaluation of alternatives in the demography. The last aim is to describe methods used to extrapolate mortality curves. The theoretical part describes demographic indicators, methods used to extrapolate mortality curves and computational processes for methods for multicriteria evaluation of alternatives. The practical part includes the computation of demographic indicators and describes the progress of the indicators in the future. The methods for multicriteria evaluation of alternatives are used for ranking selected EU countries according to the demographic indicators. The last part of the thesis includes the application of methods used for extrapolating mortality curves and compares the achieved results with the actual progress.
