Viewing tower in Beskydy
Pojezný, Tomáš ; Barnat, Jan (referee) ; Šmak, Milan (advisor)
This work contains structural design and static assessment of the viewing tower in Beskydy. Construction is shaped like fir cone and it is made from glued laminated profiles and steel square tubes. Joints are realized from steel structural elements. Ground plan is regular octagon with external diameter changeable from 7,3 m to 9,3 m. Tower has five viewing platforms. Total height of construction is 27,5 m. For designed structure is made detailed static assessment and drawing documentation.

Ice Stadium
Németh, Matěj ; Karmazínová, Marcela (referee) ; Pilgr, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to design and assess two variants of steel structure thought as multifunctional ice stadium primarily used as ice hockey ring. Structure is situated in city of Hradec Králové, specifically in the district of Malšovice. Fundamental dimensions of the floor plan of the main structure are 80 × 54 metres, and the dimensions of secondary hall serving as a main entrance are 25 × 7,9 metres. Height of main structure in the top of the cylindrical roof is 18,4 metres. The transverse connections of the main hall consist of transverse double-articulated frames made of trusswork. Cladding is made from multilayer composite panel system made by Kingspan. Spatial rigidity of the structure in transversal way is supported by main frames and in the longitudinal direction is supported by a pair of transverse wind bracings. Used material is construction steel S235.

Defect acceptability according to procedures R6, BS 7910, ASME Xi, and NTD ASI, for given sets of assumptions, input data, and defect characterization.
Joch, Jaroslav
The report compares the approaches of four procedures (R6, B6 7910, ASME XI, and NTD ASI) for the evaluation of defects identified during the NPP shutdown NDT inspections. The focus is on defect characterization, ie. the ideal crack for the evaluation, and on comparing various approaches with the data available and the level of conservatism required. Both similarities and differences in the procedures are highlighted, as well as the historic and philosophical background of the procedures.
