Starch and protein yield in potatoes for starch production
MIČKA, Michal
The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the starch and protien content in selected potato variarients in relation to nitrogen fertilization. The literature review is a general introduction to the given problem. In the year 2018, a one-year field trial was established where three starch yield varieties Anatori, Hermes a Ornella were observed. Nitrogen fertilizer was applied in two variants. The first variant was fertilized in the spring before planting with a dose of 73 kg N/ha, the second with a dose of 111 kg N/ha.In the experiment, tuber yield, average tuber weight, starch content, starch yield, dry matter content, and crude protein yield were evaluated. In the monitored year of 2018, which had above-average temperatures and on the contrary lowerprecipitation, the best evaluation was the application of higher nitrogen fertilizerswitha dose of 111 kg N/ha. Higher application of nitrogen fertilizers compared to lower dose increased potato tuber yield (t/ha), starch (%) and starch yield (t/ha).
Evaluation of foliar feeding effect on starch and protein yield in potatoes
KAKOS, Michal
The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of foliar nitrogen nutrition on yield and starch content and protein varieties of potatoes for starch with different length of the growing season. The literary review contains a general introduction to the topic and furthermore there is a summary of the existing development and production of potatoes both in the Czech Republic and abroad. In 2015 it was established one-year field experiment, where the effect was evaluated by 8% urea solution in variations in one application time and application in terms of solution 2 compared to the variant without the application of the urea solution. There were three sorts of potatoes with different vegetation period. It was a medium late variety Zuzanna and semi-late to late varieties Eurogrand and Eurostarch . At very specific 2015 to both precipitation and temperature be best evaluated albeit to a small extent, by the urea solution in the first term. Applications for the 2nd deadline had no significant effect on the production of starch and nitrogen compounds .
Applying foliar aplication of urea solution and bitter salt in growing table potatoes
ZAJÍC, David
The thesis is focused on the application of foliar fertilizers in the cultivation of potatoes. The evaluation was based on one-year small-plot trial plot, which manages Selekta Pacov. An attempt was based on a comparison of revenue, market share tuber size and number of tubers in a bunch of potatoes, which were fertilized solutions bitter mangnesium sulfate and urea. The results obtained in 2015 largely reflected the drought which occurred during potato vegetation. Of backed results showed that foliar fertilization influences crop, size of table potatoes and starch content.
Application of pig slurry in nutrition and fertilization of potatoes
ŽELEZNÝ, Josef
The aim of the experiment was to evaluate the effect of pig slurry applications in the growing crop of potatoes for industrial processing during the growing season. In 2015, he was at an altitude of 560 m based experiment, where the effect was evaluated by pig slurry at a variety Eurostarch experiment was divided into three variants, each variant had four repetitions, was a variant without application of slurry, 1 times applied manure and 2 times applied manure. For each experiment evaluated the proportion of emerged plants, tuber yield, starch content, average weight 1 tubers and the number of tubers in a bunch. In the reporting year and the effect of the application of manure. From the experimental results it is evident that the manure contributing to higher tuber yield, starch content and increased weight of tubers as the variant with one and two applications of slurry.
Reaction of selected potato varieties to foliar application of urea and bitter salt
HENŽEL, Vít
The effects of foliage nutrition facilitate efficient and immediate supply of nutrient needs during the vegetation period. The objective of this thesis is to assess the effects of foliage application of magnesium sulfate and urea for potatoes, that are intended for processing into starch production. There were two sorts of potatoes with different vegetation period under study, an early variety called as Bernard and semi-late variety called as Ornella. The foliage fertilizers were applied in three different variants. In the first variant the sorts of potatoes were fertilized by solution of magnesium sulfate, in the second variant by solution of urea and in the third variant the solution of magnesium sulfate and urea was used. The assessment of the experiment consists of yield on tubers, contain of the starch, yield on starch, the average amount of tubers per tuft, the average weight of tubers and profitability of used foliage fertilizers. In the year under the study the increased yield on tubers and on starch was detected in all three used variants. Both sorts of potatoes showed the best results when the solution of bitter salt and urea was applied. The increased yield on starch was reached through the increased yield on tubers preserving the high contain of starch. The yield of starch increased by 8 % in the semi-late variety of potatoes Ornella. The early variety of potato Bernard showed the increase of yield on starch by 14%.
Meaning rock removal in the cultivation of potatoes for starch
PACNER, Jaroslav
Diploma work was performed on a total of six lots in Vysočina County, where he measured the effect of the separation, the effect of weather and temperatures, and comparing technologies casing Rock removal of soil and techniques of planting and harvesting on quality, yield potato starch content and yield and mechanical damage of potato tubers. The aim of the thesis was to evaluate the effect of casing Rock removal of the content and starch yield and mechanical damage of potato tubers. Were evaluated three varieties of potatoes destined for processing into starch. Ornella varieties, Susan and Eurostarch. All three varieties were investigated on land záhonovým odkameněním without Rock removal. In the reporting year for all three varieties to odkameněných land has been greater yield of starch and up 2% and damage decreased by 20%. In parallel, it was found that the difference in tuber yield per hectare of the land is záhonovým odkameněním and land without casing Rock removal were influenced by variety.
Reaction of selected varieties of potatoes for processing into starch at foliar application of fertilizers
ŠANDEROVÁ, Šárka
The aim of the study was to evaluate the impact of the application of foliar fertilizers on starch production at potato growing. The literary review contains a general introduction to the topic and furthermore there is a summary of the existing development and production of potatoes both in the Czech Republic and abroad. The results were obtained from the one-year field experiment, during which two potato varieties with different lengths of the growing seasons were planted. It was a medium-early ripening variety Priamos and the late variety Dominator. In 2014 the one-year field experiment was established, during which the effect of the application of the solution of urea, Lignohumate and Energen Fulhum was evaluated compared with the variant without the application of foliar fertilizers. The tuber yield, number of tubers per plant, weight of tubers per plant, average weight of 1 tuber, starch yield and starch content were evaluated. The annual results indicated that the foliar fertilizers had on this year the positive effect on tuber yield, but the impact on the starch yield and content has not been confirmed. Both monitored potato varieties responded positively to the application of Lignohumate - by tuber enlarging. The Priamos Variety had an average tuber yield of 50.3 t/ha and the average starch content of 20.3%. In contrast the variety Dominator had the average tuber yield of 59.8 t/ha but lower starch content, in the average by 17.6%.
The influence of leaf fertilizers at potato yield
KULÍK, Jan
The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the influence of leaf fertilizers at potato yield. The main advantage of leaf nutrition is speed of an action on a plant, possible combination with other interventions (application of fungicides) and economy of use. Leaf nutrition promotes tuber yield and quality, mainly in their tuber set and poor growth conditions. It is important to perceive leaf nutrition as a suplement nutrition because it is no substitute for root nutrition. The field experiment was established on the land of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice in 2011. There were used selected varieties of potatoes with different growing season. Very early variety Magda, early variety Adéla, semi-early varieties Laura and Satina and serotinous variety Bionta. The experiment was comprised of four variants and in four replications. There were used liquid solution of urea, Lignohumate and Lignohumate with NPK for fertilizer of variants 1, 2 ,3. Control variant was without aplication of fertilizer. There were evaluated proportion of grow-up plants, tuber yield, proportion of ware size tubers, the number of tubers per plant, the average weight of one tuber, the average weight of ware size tubers and starch content. It was found out using of liquid solution of urea increased tuber yield of all selected varieties. The highest yield of varieties Adéla and Laura was achieved by application of Lignuhumate, the highest yield of varieties Satina a Bionta after using of liquid solution of urea. Very early variety Magda was not too responsive to application of leaf fertilizers excep using of liquid solution of urea.
