Economy of Salamanca School

Thesis deals with exposition of economic thinking of the School of Salamanca. First chapter is an exposition of the selected representatives from the preceding tradition. Second chapter consists in the exposition of works from selected authors about theory of value. Third chapter is concerned with the money market and the question whether it is usurious. In this works of selected authors from the School of Salamanca are presented. Fourth chapter is devoted to the topic of ownership and fifth to public finance.
Dumping practices of retailers

Bachelor thesis deals with dumping practices in the market of Czech breweries. The work is focused o the method of pricing used by detail chains in the country. The first part defines terms such as dumping, price discrimination, supply, demand, protection of competition, price elasticity and pricing. The second part show practical examples of creation of dumping prices and their consequent impact on the market. Examined market is beer in the Czech Republic and selected products for the analysis represent four best selling light draft beers - Gambrinus, Braník, Kozel and Staropramen. The thesis approaches consequences cause by dumping practices of retailers to suppliers -- irritation of direct distribution and subsequent difficulties with pricing. The third part deals with the analysis of the legislative framework of the issue within the Czech Republic and the European Union. The goal is to confirm or invalidate the hypothesi that the current institutional legal framework is sufficient to protect the market from dumping practices of retailers.
Fair Trade - the chosen aspects

This thesis consider the Fair Trade concept as an alternative form of the trade solving poverty and promoting disadvantaged producers living in the developing countries. The major objective is to analyse benefits and inadequacies of the Fair Trade and to find out if it is possible from long-term point of view to reduce the poverty in the developing countries effectively. The thesis describes the present circumstances in the developing countries, the basic characteristics and the functioning of Fair Trade, the international trade with the coffee and the problem of clearing and Fair Trade price of the coffee and the problem of microfinancing. The last chapter evaluates advantages and disadvantages of Fair Trade.
