Preparation and Characterization of Drug Carrier Systems on the Basis of Magnetic Nanoparticles
Chvátalová, Barbora ; Burdíková, Jana (referee) ; Kalina, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the study of magnetic nanoparticles, optimizing their preparation and stabilization. The nanoparticles with different ratios of Fe2+ and Fe3+ ions were prepared by coprecipitation by variously concentrated sodium hydroxide. Three samples of particles were selected and were further observed. Their stability in Milli-Q water, buffer, polyvinylalcohol, hyaluronic acid and chitosan was studied in function of time using methods of dynamic and electrophoretic light scattering. By UV-VIS spectrometry it was confirmed that the magnetic nanoparticles were actually prepared. Nanoparticles coated with chitosan and hyaluronic acid were then further characterized using FT-IR, XRD and SEM.
Detection of Localized Surface Plasmons on Metal Nanostructures
Konečná, Andrea ; Dub, Petr (referee) ; Kalousek, Radek (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with theoretical and experimental study of localized surface plasmons excited on metal nanostructures. Analytical calculations were compared to simulations and measurements using assembled apparatus and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) in infrared range. Obtained results were discussed considering both validity of performed approximations and quality of manufactured nanostructures.
Využití FT NIR spektroskopie v mlékárenském průmyslu
Kozelková, Monika
The aim of this thesis was to verify and evaluate the possibilities of FT NIR spectroscopy usage in dairy industry. The quantitative calibrations were developed to determinate concentration or physical parameter of sheep and goat milk, ice cream, Olomouc curd-cheese, dry sweet whey, rennet and made curds. Moisture content or dryness (for the nature of the product), fat, protein, lactose etc. as well as some other minority components such as fatty acid or physical properties (pH and titrable acidity) were established as the reference methods of the major components. All samples were measured by the spectrophotometer FT NIR Antaris. The calibration models for each component were created by using Partial least squares (PLS) algorithm and Discriminant analysis. Very good results were obtained for almost all the calibrations where all the correlation coefficients were between 0.858 to 0.999. By using discriminant analysis in order to obtain qualitative evaluation of products we were verifying the ability of FT NIR spectrophotometer to classify analyzed spectrum in to pre-defined classes and thus to determine differences by Olomouc curd-cheese, rennet and courds. The results of this thesis confirm the suitability of FT NIR spectroscopy for quantitative and also qualitative properties of raw materials, intermediate products, as well as final products.

Řádkový CCD sensor ILX511 pro fyzikální měření
Bartoněk, L. ; Keprt, Jiří
The practical use of the CCD linear image sensor ILX511 for scanning of light in some optical applications (spectroscopy) is presented. Communication of the equipment (CCD linear image sensor) with computer is realized with the help of parallel interface of a personal computer (PC) without additive interface card. The use of the linear detector is presented in the case of detection of the optical spectrum of the mercury lamp.
Secondary electron contrast of doped regions in semiconductor
Čižmár, Petr
The aim of the dissertation is study of multi-channel spectroscopy of electrons (secondary, both elastically and non-ellastically reflected as well as the Auger ones) in a scanning electron microscope with respect to the signal-to-noise ratio in detected signals. Another aim is to write software for electronic processing of an image of a specimen providing combined analytical and microscopic information. Verification of the methodology at an ultra-high vacuum microscope with slow electrons, which will be equipped with a parallel hyperbolic electrons analyzer in the scope of the project, is one of main goals of the experimental part.
