Analysis of students' internships in the field of addictology

Practical education (practice) is an important part of many fields of study at the universities. Education in the fields of medicine and social work, which create a base for the addictology, include a practice as a integral part of study. Practice enable students to gain important professional and work experience that complete the theoretical preparation. Students preparing for their profession in the social servises organizations, account for a future source of possible employees for these services providers. This thesis is focused on the area of providing and offering student practice within the study of addictology from the view of all three involved parties, the university, the organization providing a practice realisation and the students. The main aim of this work was to map a role and a significance of practical education within preparation of students of the addictology for a future profession. A partial aim was to suggest and create a set of recommendations for all parties involved in this process. The aims were achieved by using of qualitative research methods, i.e. documents analysis, interviews or questionnaires that also provided qualitative data. All ethical questions were kept. Care Allowance as a Financial Instrument for Social Services in the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with problems of financing social service and with using care allowance as an instrument of social policy. The need for affordable and quality social services for the elderly results from prognosis of the demographic trends of aging population and it is always of interest to social policy that tincludes new tools in addressing social protection to people who depend on additional care. Determination of the public policy problem is based on a study and an analysis of available data, referring to the finding that the care allowance is not (as opposed to the intention of the law), used sufficiently as one of the sources of financing social service providers. My thesis is based on findings, which brings a theory of social inclusions as the prevention of a social exclusion of people because of a reduced self-sufficiency and a theory of a quality of life under which is necessary to ensure individual's everyday needs; later it focuses on a concept of a social protection of people in important public policy documents. The research deals with fundamental changes in the concept of the care allowance under the law No. 108/2006 Coll. on social services and the impact of these changes on the recipients of care, informal care providers and institutional social services. The Specifics of Restrictive Practice in Social Services

This thesis follows the insufficiently mapped-out issue of restriction in social services and investigates the ways in which it is used towards clients. First-mentioned is the evolution of social services towards its current concept. Afterwards, important terms pertaining directly to the practical issues of social services are defined, based on the social services act. The definition of restrictions and restrictive measures, in accordance with current legislation, follows and their concept is confronted with the concept of human rights and human dignity.The work concludes with descriptions of situations where the clients human rights are violated, their solutions and also possible ways how to prevent the violation of human rights in such cases.

The Reform of Social Services System in Czech Republic

The Diploma Thesis deals with the reform of the social services system in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part includes the definition of the basic terms and describes the reasons leading to the reform of the social services system. The aim of the Diploma Thesis was to ascertain which problems relate to the application of the legal regulation concerning the home care allowance from the point of view of the subjects involved: the home care allowance recipients, the social services providers representatives and the municipal authorities workers of the municipalities with extended powers. When analyzing this problem it was necessary to ascertain the views of the particular subjects on this allowance, next the purposes the home care allowance is used for by its recipients in particular dependence levels, which form of social services they utilize most often, and which effect the form of the home care allowance payment can exert on the way of its utilization. The empirical part of the Diploma Thesis utilized the quantity research and the quantity questioning method. The Diploma Thesis conclusion, on the basis of the results processed, brings the appropriate precautions, which can be used in practice.
