Social activation services and work of social worker in Czech union of Deaf, regional organization of Prague

This undergraduate thesis examines an organization for the deaf, its services and the various roles of its employees. The theoretical section is a compilation of the writing of various authors regarding social work and the problem of hearing impairment. The initial chapter introduces the reader into the terminology regarding people with hearing impairments, their communication and culture. The second chapter is focused on the role of the social worker within and organization, and the process of social work with the impaired and the elderly. The third chapter analytically examines the Czech Union of the Deaf, the regional organization in Prague. It concisely introduces its history and its present operations. The emphasis is put on the services it provides and the scope within which its social workers operate. The final chapter introduces the results of an original quantitative survey, which was executed as a part of this thesis. The assumptions on which the research was founded are examined and an analysis of the data obtained through questionnaires is presented, including informative graphs and charts. The family cure as a way to work with dysfunctional family in the City of Most

The theses is focused on the work with deprivated families with concentration on the method of family cure an its application in the City of Most. It is work which is based on combination of theoretical and empirical access to the problem which leads to proposal of practical application of the method in praxis. The document is structured in six chapters. The first chapter follows the term "family" as the basic cathegory of the issue. The second chapter deals with the theme of deprivated family, which represents the target group of the cure process. Besides the basic terms explanation this chapter includes also analysis of the present state of the work with family in our country and in some other european countries. The third chapter is already focused on the term family rescue. Besides of term definition it is concentrated on aims, processes and methods in use and on the legislative framework. The fourth chapter analyses situation in the field of family rescue method and its application in current system of work with deprivated families and introduces to reader modern methods promising for the future. Socially Activating Services For Seniors And People With Disabilities In The South Bohemia Region

The bachelor thesis explores possibilities of using social activation services in the South Bohemian Region. Social activation services are the social services that are embodied in the Act No. 108/2006 Coll., on Social Services, and they are provided to people in the senior age or to people with disabilities. These services are very important and necessary for the mentioned persons, because through these services the people can get actively involved into the society. In the theoretical part there are explained important concepts relating to the issue of the seniors and persons with disabilities. Further there is also a description of the Act No. 108/2006 Coll., on Social Services and an overview of the provided social services. A content analysis of relevant documents was used to work out the thesis. The research part was carried out by an interviewing method, a technique of a semi-structured interview. In total 11 facilities providing social activation services for seniors and persons with disabilities in the South Bohemian Region took part in the research. The interview consisted of 10 questions. The aim was to explore the possibilities and the use of social activation services for seniors and persons with disabilities in the South Bohemian Region. The research results show that a current capacity of the registered social service of the social activation service for seniors and persons with disabilities meets the needs of users of the South Bohemian Region. The bachelor thesis can be used for providers and users dealing with this issue. Findings from the research part of the bachelor thesis could be a basis for a processing of community plans of social services of municipalities with extended powers in the South Bohemian Region and the Medium-Term Plan for the Development of Social Services of the South Bohemian Region.
