Residential units from natural materials
Lontrasová, Michaela ; Řehůřek, Ivan (referee) ; Výskala, Miloslav (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to determine the costs of building a family house log cabin compared to the wooden building. The first part focuses on natural building materials. Their characteristics, applications and comparison with industrially produced building materials. The second part firstly describes various structures of selected family houses, wooden houses and log cabin in brief. Subsequently, the structure budgets are assembled, compared and evaluated their costs. The budget is based on a bill of quantities wooden houses insulated by straw bales. Finally the positive and negative characteristics of these houses are listed.
Shape optimization and subsequent verification of the strength of wood-straw panels
Škrachová, Ivana ; Anton, Ondřej (referee) ; Heřmánková, Věra (advisor)
The diploma thesis focuses on shape optimization and then on determining of strength of straw bane panels. The thesis aims to maximize the load-bearing capacity of the panels and using static calculation and laboratory testing to prove usability of panels in construction of buildings. From the acquired maximal load values for each panel the technical data sheets were created. Values in the technical data sheets were evaluated on FEM model of a simple house. The model proved applicability and reliability of straw bane panels in construction of buildings.
Slaměný rodinný dům v obci Benešov u Semil
Fiala, Ondřej
The bachelor thesis is focused on design of construction of family house using natural materials, especially straw. First, the reader learns both general and technical information about the material used, and gets some reason why the natural building material has just been used. The main part of the work is devoted to designing the documentation of a straw family single-storey house with an attic on a particular plot. An object visualization can be considered as an add-on. This work is gently shed on the idea of a journey through a construction that reflects the environment as a gift of man, this gift should be passed on to the next generations in the best condition.
