Machining of the gear-box casting on a CNC machine

The master’s thesis focuses on the machining of a chosen gearbox on a CNC machine. The theoretical part deals with gearboxes in general and the aluminium alloy from which a selected gearbox is manufactured. In the practical part, the machining of the gearbox is proposed according to the corresponding drawing. Gradually suitable machines are selected, then depending on their limits, clamping devices are designed, next a set of tools is selected and an NC program is generated. The technological process of production is proposed and the basic production costs are calculated.

In this thesis is elaborated analysis of auxiliary gear box, which is part of the support structure TATRA truck. Target of this work is to determine the size of the forces in the gearing, bearings and perform Strain Stress analysis of load is in excess of two states. The first load is in excess status will only react to the load forces from gearing. The second load is in excess status is designed for load bearing structure forces from these values were provided by TATRA a.s..

This thesis deals with the conceptual design of a double clutch gearbox and the inspection of selected designed parts of this gearbox. The first part of the thesis is focused on the theory of automotive transmissions and analysis of already available double clutch gearboxes. The following is the conceptual design itself, which is based on the selected vehicle on which the transmission will be located and on driving resistances. Based on these default values, the gear graduation is selected, which affects the vehicle’s driving dynamics. With regard to the installation space, a conceptual arrangement of the gearbox is proposed. Furthermore, the thesis is focused on the basic design and calculations of individual functional components of the gearbox. The last part of the thesis is involved to the control of selected structural nodes using the finite element method in the ansys workbench software. The whole thesis describes the individual steps for the design of the basic concept of a double clutch gearbox and the design of their basic components.

This master’s thesis deals with the structural analysis of the gearbox housing and drive frame of bucket-wheel stacker/reclaimer. Theme is designed by Vítkovice Gearworks a.s. Objective of the work is to determine the size of the forces in the gears, bearings and perform strain stress analysis. The main part of the work is focused on creating finite element model in software NX I-Deas. The solution and evaluation is performed in software MSC Marc.
