Automatic image annotation
Hegmon, Jiří ; Karásek, Jan (referee) ; Burget, Radim (advisor)
Recognition and comparison of image is one of the main problems and area of the field of computer vision. This thesis adds to these two issues the third, the recognition image semantics, so called annotations or labels. This work uses the knowledge of methods of recognizing the similarity of images to create a tool that is able based on training dataset of images and annotations, create a group most likely annotation for the test set of images. This work presents several types of test datasets suitable for the detection of annotation information for images. Subsequently, best set with the necessary training dataset size and enough information about annotations is selected. Based on this training dataset algorithm is designed for easy loading test set without large demands on computer performance. Evaluation of annotation information is done based on different similarity algorithms. At the beginning of this work was to use a simple, but not very effective method of MSE and comparison of color histograms, but gradually it was necessary to move to using more advanced methods (such as Tamura, Gabor, CEDD nebo různé druhy hostistogramů). The results of this comparison are then taken to evaluate the likelihood of the annotation for the image specified test set. The last part is an evaluation of the accuracy of annotation based on information from the test set.
Comparison of 3D objects in JAVA language
Zapletal, Tomáš ; Smékal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Šmirg, Ondřej (advisor)
The main aim of the thesis is loading of 3D models in different file formats and its displaying, creating of slices from 3D models and vice versa making 3D models from slices, quantify inaccuracy of anti-aliasing and other formatting and investigate similarity of original and edited models. Everything in Java programming language and its extensions for 3D object tasks. Thesis builds on earlier project „3D shape from MRI“.
Graphical representation of DNA and protein sequences
Pražák, Ondřej ; Kolářová, Jana (referee) ; Maděránková, Denisa (advisor)
Modification of DNA sequences and their suitable representation is important part of analysis, comparison and another processing. Goal of this paper is finding of suitable methods for representation of genomic and proteomic sequences. Because there is great number of metods, this paper will introduce only some of them. All selected methods, are described in the first part of this paper and they were programed in Matlab. Selected methods are illustrated on coding sequences of the first exon of the b-globin gene of 11 different species. Results are compared withresults from the original papers. Some methods are capable of another processing like cluster analysis. Output of this paper is comparison of results, gained from different methods, and finding the most suitable one.
Dispersion over open-cut coal mine: wind tunnel modelling strategy
Nosek, Štěpán ; Jaňour, Zbyněk ; Jurčáková, Klára ; Kellnerová, Radka ; Kukačka, Libor
The main features of wind-tunnel possibilities to model flow over extensive terrain where the characteristics length is bigger than 5 km; in particular over the open-cut coal mine in Tušimice are presented.
Web interface for ontology similarity measures
Pichl, Ota ; Zamazal, Ondřej (advisor) ; Svátek, Vojtěch (referee)
Semantic Web is one of the most recent topics on the internet. The idea of Semantic Web is associated to informatics ontologies which can provide features for description of web knowledge. Ontologies than bring the feature of semantic annotation for data and knowledge on the internet. This work is focused on comparison of ontologies and determination of their similarity or dissimilarity. Determination of these similarities can be made with various types of methods like vector space measures or collection measures. It is appropriate to implement these methods due to problems and uncertainties which ontologies can bring. Ontology independence is one of the basic characteristics (open world assumption) and because of independence there can appear certain conflicts if exist two ontologies describing the same part of reality. There can be a problem when these two ontologies describe the same entity but with different label or in different structure. Nevertheless there are many other reasons for making these comparisons e.g. extension of semantic search engines or searching for similar ontologies which could be joined together. Solution of this problem can be found in ontology similarity measures. Currently there is no application like this which would provide methods for ontology measures. The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to create a web interface which will provide essential methods for determination of ontology similarity.
The Composition of Natural Diet of fish in the Lipno Reservoir inlets
SVAČINA, Petr
This bachelor work is dealing with the composition of natural food of fish in the chosen streams. Many samples were taken from five streams during the spring and autumn seasons at the same area called the Šumava Mountains according to PERLA method. The first two streams are called Hamerský and Pestřice. They are the inlets of Lipno reservoir. The next three - Horský, Mlýnský and Bukový belong to the River Danube. Despite of the fact that these streams are situated at the same area and have very similar flows, fish abundancy and the way of farming in their basins differ. These aspects influenced the benthos composition in every single stream and that is why this work should provide survey about the composition and biomass of benthos in particular watercourse. The richest is Mlýnský stream in term of the abundance of benthic organism. By the streams which are parts of basins of Danube river, was the most dominant kind Gammarus Fossarum and Limnius perrisi. By the Lipno reservoir inflows, there were the most numerous may flies (Ephemeroptera), represented mostly by the tribe Baetis (Hamerský stream) and the Trichoptera kind with the dominant Anomallopterygella chauviniana from the Trichoptera group (Pestřice stream). There are some differences of the composition and abundance of benthic groups between streams belonging to basins of Danube river and the streams influent to Lipno reservoir. According to the particularity of index number, Lipno?s streams are similar with the streams influent to Danube river from 23% (Pestřice stream) and from 45% (Hamerský stream).
The problems solutions analysis of the second round of 55-th year MO in South Bohemia region
KUČEROVÁ, Renata
The aim of this diploma work is to analyse problems solving of the second round of the 55th year of the Mathematical Olympiad in South Bohemian region and to serve as a study material for further Mathematical Olympiads or as a collection of problems for talented students.
A contribution to the similarity study of 3D-flow in channel with a step expansion of the cross-section
Jonáš, Pavel ; Mazur, Oton ; Uruba, Václav
A new experimental set-up and measuring methods for theinvestigation of a channel flow with a backward-facing step on one wall aredescribed. The static pressure distribution measurements and visualisation results are presented.
Illigal use of trademark
Pásková, Hana ; Boháček, Martin (advisor) ; Čada, Karel (referee)
The topic of this thesis is the problem of trademark infringement examined in the context of the development of legal jurisdiction. This also includes aspects of unfair competition, and in most of the cases a couple of factors are involved.I use Czechoslovakian, Czech, as well as some European court verdicts in relation to different legal regulations.
