Possibilities of professional development of kindergarten teachers in the workplace

The bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of professional development of kindergarten teachers in the workplace. The theoretical part contains characteristics of the concept of professional development. It also recalls some of the current researches that deal with professional development of teachers and describes the current requirements for the competence of teachers in kindergartens. Emphasis is placed on the role of the headmaster, as the most important factor in the professional development of teachers and the use of methods that can take place in the workplace. Some of these methods of professional development are described according to available literature and their advantages and limitations are highlighted. The aim of the bachelor thesis was to describe possibilities of professional development of kindergarten teachers in the workplace and to determine which of the selected professional development methods in the workplace are most often used in kindergartens. The used method was a questionnaire survey and the results are clearly organized in tables and graphs.
