Self-Sufficient Home for 9000 Inhabitants
Valový, Přemysl ; Rudiš, Viktor (referee) ; Mléčka, Jan (advisor)
The objective of this diploma project is to propose a new self-sufficient city for 9000 inhabitants. The city as a phenomenon accompanying mankind for centuries has become an integral part of a physical and cultural heritage of our civilization. Accumulation of its population, ideas and material possessions always led to the remarkable act of creativity and efforts, that was always pushing mankind further. Nowadays cities are faced with a myriad of crises, both economic and social. However we shouldn't forget, with a view to the future, the impending ecological crisis. The rapid growth of the past is followed by a gradual decay in the current age. Moreover, in today's globalized society, the town becomes materially totally dependent on its surroundings. It drains resources from less developed land to feed its inhabitants. We can hardly predict consequences that would arise if these resources were cut off. With the precipitous pace of urban growth and migration of the world's population into densely urbanized areas* arise to us a question, if in these non-urban (agricultural) areas will be still somebody, who will nourish these future metropolis? * (since 2010, more than a half of the world population lives in cities) The aim to create a new self-sufficient city isn't a kind of compensation for contemporary cities, but an attempt to create a working model that would be generally applicable on a present towns. It should hint the way, which they could take to achieve self-sufficiency, less dependence on imports, functional community life reinforcing a higher unity and sophisticated environmental legacy for future generations. The goal of these efforts is not a "moving the population into this model city", but the movement of ideas from model town into existing cities.

VARINSKÁ, Petra
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of self-sufficiency users of social service, social therapeutic workshops ARPIDA. The work includes issues of disability, which is divided into several types: physical, mental and combined disability. Further work focused on work for people with disabilities, such as protected workshops, protected job, supported employment and social therapeutic workshops. Another part involves combination of theoretical knowledge and practicalverification of this. I defined the area of self - suficiency users according to annex no. 1 of notice no 505/2006 Sb. such as mobility, orientation, communication, food, clothing and footwear, personal hygiene, physiological needs, health care, personal activities and home care. This part is implemented quantitative research through observation, interviews with users and document analysis.
Evaluation of selected quality indicators of health care at the department of post-medical care
BALOGOVÁ, Renata
Evaluation of indicators of nursing care quality was the aim of the research. The indicators chosen for the research were satisfaction of patients with the care, evaluation of self sufficiency, state of nutrition and pain. Most of the respondents answered positively in the evaluation of satisfaction with nursing care. 64 % of all the respondents chose the answer satisfied, 36 % chose rather satisfied. None of the respondents chose the possibilities average satisfaction, rather dissatisfied or dissatisfied in the overall evaluation of the physician and nursing care. Hypothesis 1: Patients are satisfied with the care at the SCD was confirmed. Self sufficiency level evaluation ? in the total sum of all the fiends 32.1 % of respondents moved from the level moderately dependent on nursing care to the category slightly dependent on nursing care. The situation in the categories highly dependent and totally dependent on nursing care did not change. Hypothesis 2: The level of self sufficiency in SCD patients is improving during the monitored period was confirmed. The nutrition level improved in the monitored period. In the overall nutrition score sum 14.4 % more respondents were in the lowest category (0-3 scores) after a month of evaluation then at the admittance. Hypothesis 3: The state of nutrition is improving during the monitored period was confirmed. Evaluation of pain at the SCD ? 59.4 % of the respondents reported pain, 39.5 % of whom had the pain at 1 VAS, 34.2 % of the respondents had the pain at 2 VAS, 15.8 % reported the pain at 3 VAS, 5.25 % at 4 VAS and 5.25 % and of the respondents reported their pain at 5 VAS. After administration of pain killers the pain does not exceed 2 VAS. Upon all the above results Hypothesis 4: Pain in SCD patients does not exceed 3 on VAS was confirmed. A summary of selected quality indicators with the method of their evaluation will be the outcome of the bachelor thesis.
Rehabilitative nursing of patients in department after-care
VOJČOVÁ, Lucie
Following batchelor´s thesis focuses on rehabilitative nursing of patients in department after-care and it is divided into two parts. In a theory part of the thesis elementary terms such as rehabilitation, nursing, and department after-care are briefly described. Close attention is paid to rehab treatment elements carried out within the frame of rehabilitative nursing. Individual elements are described in detail in individual chapters. The end of the theory part focuses on the issue of immobilization and on immobilizing syndrome. The practical part describes experimental research leading to verification of defined hypothesis. A quantitative method aided by questionnaire technique was used for the research. This research was carried out with nurses in department after-care in following hospitals: Nemocnice České Budějovice, a.s.; Nemocnice Prachatice a.s.; Nemocnice Český Krumlov, a.s. where 120 questionnaires were held out with 83,3% questionnaires returned. 100 questionnaires, made 100% were used for the final research. The aim of this thesis was to find out what rehab treatment elements are applied with patients in department after-care. The other aim was to verify knowledge of nurses in rehab care. To set targets hypothesis H1, H2 and H3 were made. H1: Nurses in department after-care apply especially elements of positioning. H1 was proved. H2: Nurses in department after-care more frequetly practice self service and self sufficiency with patients rather than practicing motoric skills. H2 was not proved. H3: Nurses have got the knowledge of rehab care. H3 was proved. Findings of this thesis will be provided to management of Nemocnice České Budějovice, a.s. who may use it as a base for lecture for nurses from department after- care. As a part of this lecture a practical illustration of individual rehab care elements would be appropriate to demonstrate. Hospital management will hereby support improval of quality of provided care in department after-care and also will support the nurses in this field.
The quality of life at patients with chronic disease of the motoric system
BITTENGLOVÁ, Ilona
The thesis ``Quality of life in patients with chronic disease of musculoskeletal system`` is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with quality of life in general, its assessment, with chronic diseases of musculoskeletal system and their impact on quality of life. The objective of the thesis is stated and hypotheses are set in the practical part by means of which the research itself was started. The following chapter ``Methodology{\crqq} describes the research technique and methods used to confirm or disprove given objective and hypotheses stated. The next chapter ``Results{\crqq} contains charts and graphs with final values and their verbal description. Information obtained from the research is confronted in the discussion.
