Spiral case design for fountain turbine Katovice.
Čípa, Jiří ; Veselý, Jindřich (referee) ; Haluza, Miloslav (advisor)
The diploma thesis should identify inconsistencies of the small hydraulic power plant Katovice. The fountain water turbine is now running in slower delivery because the original Francis high speed turbine achieved much smaller flow than a Kaplan type turbine. The aim of the thesis is a project of a spiral case and a distributor for the Kaplan turbine, which should work in higher flow and should be run in its optimum. This project will serve as a base for construction of distributor and spiral case for the small hydraulic power plant Katovice.
High Speed Turbine with Non-Uniform Cascade
Stareček, Jakub ; Drábková, Sylva (referee) ; Veselý, Jindřich (referee) ; Haluza, Miloslav (advisor)
This doctoral thesis is focused on hydraulic design of axial turbine by CFD and FEM analyses. The results are runners with nonuniform cascades. Nonuniform runners consist of blades with different axial positions, blades with different pitch angles in runner or indifferent blades. Each runner is designed with respect to 3D printing by FDM or SLS technology and hydraulic measuring. The analyses of the excitation frequencies, modal analysis, shape of the turbine operating range, maximal efficiency, output parameters and cavitation properties are emphasized.
The swirl turbine design for small water power Hovězí.
Oliva, Štěpán ; Neumayer, Oldřich (referee) ; Haluza, Miloslav (advisor)
The aim of this work was to develop a proposal regarding hydro-energy potential of small flows of water through the city „Hovězí near Vsetín“. The available water energy was used for running a Swirl Turbine featuring a siphon arrangement. This new concept makes use of a modified Kaplan Turbine, operating at small water heads. It operates also at higher revolutions and has higher discharge.
Design of a horizontal frame for torque transfer
Odehnal, Radek ; Pavlík, Jan (referee) ; Holub, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is design of a horizontal frame for torque transfer. The work is focused on the modification of the current solution in order to improve the characteristics of the horizontal frame to enhance its rigidity and safety.
Feasibility study of the pumped storage power station
Kratina, Jakub ; Duchan, David (referee) ; Dráb, Aleš (advisor)
Pumped storage power stations are an integral part of all power systems. At pre-sent, they represent perhaps the only option to accumulate more surplus electricity. It is also built as a proven regulatory element of the power system. The content of this bachelor thesis is a study of feasibility of the pumped storage power stationt (PVE Podlešín) in the Vaňov area. The introduction deals with the issue of pumped srorage power station. Then the design of a technical solution for the power plant construction follows. The main part of the study is the elaboration of drawing documentation and technical reports.
Connection between turbine and generator
Odehnal, Radek ; Kloss, Ondřej (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is concerned with shaft connection between the horizontal water turbine and the generator. The thesis gives a survey of basic methods used for transfer of torque from turbine to generator shaft.
Draft tube role in hydraulic turbine performance
Havlát, Pavel ; Himr, Daniel (referee) ; Rudolf, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the problems of draft tube. It contains basic description of draft tubes, their division and possibilities of their utilizations. Further, this thesis focuses on description of draft tubes, their efficiency, losses and ways to eliminate these losses. One part of this work also mentions basic relationships required for computing length of draft tube, velocity of the fluid in the draft tube and others.
Mobile Game Sound Runner in Godot Engine
Korniienko, Oleksii ; Chlubna, Tomáš (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
The purpose of the work is to create a new game in which sound will play an important role. The result is a runner-type game where the player avoids invisible obstacles with the help of sounds. Obstacles are of different types and each is represented by a different sound. The game is implemented as a mobile appearance to the popularity of the platform.
Mobile Demo Sound Run in Godot Engine
Korniienko, Oleksii ; Chlubna, Tomáš (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
The purpose of the work is to create a new game demo in which sound plays an important role. The result is a runner-type game where the player avoids invisible obstacles with the help of sounds. Obstacles are of different types and each is represented by a different sound. The game is implemented as a mobile application due to the popularity of the platform.
Vliv správného dechového stereotypu na výkon u vytrvalostních běžců
HEJLÍK, Richard
The bachelor thesis provides insight into the issue of breathing stereotype and examines its effect on the performance in endurance runners. The theoretical part of the thesis contains two parts and collects knowledge related to the given issue. The first part focuses on breathing, breathing stereotype, physiology of the respiratory system and breathing control. The second part contains chapters about the history of running, kinesiology of running, running mechanics, running technique and breathing technique during running. The practical part deals with research aimed at improving the breathing stereotype in endurance runners through the intervention of breathing exercises and then determine the change effect of their endurance performance. The research group was consisted of 3 endurance runners aged 19 to 21 years. Their task was to complete training units prepared by me consisting of breathing exercises for 6 to 7 weeks. The evaluation was based on a comparison of the initial and final examination. Initial and final examinations includes kinesiological analysis, spirometric examination, stress spiroergometric examination, Stange´s test and exspiratory apnoeic pause test. The outcome of the research was the detection of positive changes in breathing stereotype in runners. Performance indicators improved in two of the three runners, while ventilation indicators remained without any significant changes. From the results, the effect of changing breathing stereotype on performance in endurance runners cannot be demonstrated. However, it cannot be excluded either. Further research on a larger scale is important to refine the results and identify new findings. It is also necessary to eliminate mistakes and adjust the methodological procedure of the research. If positive results are confirmed, breathing exercises could be incorporated into running training.
