The analysis of economic performance of the Vysočina Region with the focus on the means of financing of regional development

The thesis analyzes economic performance the Vysočina Region, while the main focus is on the means of financing of regional development. The work is dividend into two parts. Theoretical section discusses significance and functioning of a local government in the Czech Republic and basic aspects of implementation of regional policies within international, national and regional context. The analytical part of the thesis overviews economic performance of Vysočina Region in the 2010 -- 2012 period, which was characterized by budget surpluses due to conservative budgetary policy. Secondly, the section is devoted to Vysočina's Development Programme, whereby support for regional advancement is being secured. Last but not least, it is commented on matters restraining regional advancement, such as weak services sector, thin presence of so-called high-tech industries, low proportion of college-educated population etc.
Financial Management Analysis of Regions in the Czech Republic and Relatioship to Regional Development Funding

Hereby presented diploma thesis discusses the financial management of Czech regions (more accurately "higher-level territorial administrative units") focusing on regional development funding, particularly demonstrated by the example of the South Moravian Region. Through a study of regional financial management the regional budget's income and expenditure have been thoroughly examined, especially those governable by the regions themselves. During the analysis of the South Moravian Region financial system the main focus has been aimed at its regional funding policy outlined by the corresponding strategic documentation entitled South Moravian Region Development Plan. The actual support for regional development in South Moravian Region is financed by the region's budget and a special-purpose fund named Development Fund of South Moravian Region.
The Analysis of Economic Activities of Regions, the Relation to the Regional Development

The presented diploma thesis deals with economic activities of regions of the Czech Republic with a special focus on funding of regional development; the region of Hradec Králové was taken as a concrete example for this purpose. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part of the thesis focuses on the issue of operating and funding of the regions of the Czech Republic with respect to the structure and development of incomes and expenses of regional budgets between the years 2001 and 2012. The second part of the thesis focuses on economic activities of the concrete region in relation to the regional development. The region of Hradec Králové was chosen for the analysis. The Programme of the Regional Development is the fundamental strategic document via which the region implements support of the regional development. In the case of the region of Hradec Králové, the regional development is implemented via the following financial instruments- the regional budget, Subsidy Fund, and Regional Innovative Fund.
The status of regions in local governance system and its authority in the regional development

This thesis deals with an analysis of the economic performance of the Pardubice region and with an evaluation of a selected regional development project. It is divided into two parts. Firstly, the historical development and the current status of local governance in the Czech Republic are defined in the theoretical part. Further, the definition of regional policy with the emphasis on the role of the region in regional development is provided. Final section of the theoretical part is dedicated to the financial aspects of local governance, particularly to detailed description of the income and expenditure components of the budget. The analytical part of this thesis begins with the characteristics of the Pardubice region, especially from the geographical and socio-economic perspectives and continues with the analysis of economic performance of the Pardubice region in the period 2011 -- 2013. A comparison of the indebtedness of this region with other regions and the national average is added. Final part of the thesis provides an assessment of the selected regional development project called "Effective Public Administration and Friendly Public Services -- Smart Administration".

This diploma thesis deals with the financial management of the regions in Czech Republic and its relation to the regional development. The diploma thesis is separated into two parts. The first part of diploma thesis deals with regions as autonomous unit. In this part are defined competences and authorities of regions, the structure and the trends of regional budget. It is emphazed on regional policy and expenditures on support of regional development. The aim of the diploma thesis is to analyze the regional financial management with relation to the regional policy of selected region. For analysis was chosen Vysocina Region. Vysocina Region realizes his regional policy trough strategicy document - Regional Development Plan of Vysocina Region. Regional policy is financed by the resources of regional budget and by two funds -- Vysocina Fund and Fund of strategical reserves.
Assessment of Economic Activities Development of the Czech Republic's Regions on the Example of the Olomouc Region

This bachelor thesis examines the evaluation of regional economic management in the Czech republic and specification of this evaluation with the use of example of the "Olomoucký kraj". In the theoretical part there are defined basic terms and relations, which are necessary to describe and analyse the regional economic management. The aim of the practical part is the last ten years' overall evaluation of the regional economic management and on the basis of this evaluation is specificated the economic management of "Olomoucký kraj".
Analysis of Economic Activities of the Czech Republic's Regions, Relation to the Regional Development, Region "Vysocina" Application

This diploma thesis deals with the regional financial management and its relation to the regional development. It can be separated into two parts. The first part of the thesis deals with the reform of public administration, at which the region was created as an autonomous unit. I define its competences, authorities, relation to regional policy, the structure and the trend of revenues and expenditures of regional budgets between 2001 nad 2009. The second part concentrates on the analysis of the position of the concrete region,Vysocina region, in the regional development. Vysocina region implements the regional policy through the Regional Development Plan of Vysocina region. The regional policy is financed by the resources of funds. These funds are not included in the regional badget. There are two funds -- the Vysocina Fund and the Fund of strategical reserves. The goal of the thesis is analysis of the regional financial management with relation to the regional policy of the region and to evaluate the way, how the regional policy is put into effect, and the methods of the regional policy financing.
The financial aspects of independent and delegated competences of the Moravian - Silesian Region

Diplomová práce se zabývá finančními aspekty přenesené a samostatné působnosti kraje. V úvodních kapitolách je zaměřena na probíhající reformu veřejné správy, která významně přispěla k obnovení územní samosprávy a ke vzniku krajů. V souvislosti se vznikem krajů následuje popis finančního systému na úrovni krajů s podrobnějším vymezením postavení rozpočtu. Významnou část práce tvoří analýza vývoje příjmů a výdajů krajů v letech 2001-2005, s nastíněním vývoje v roce 2006. V návaznosti na celkové hospodaření krajů v České republice následuje praktická část práce, ve které je zpracována analýza vývoje hospodaření Moravskoslezského kraje v letech 2001-2006. Cílem této práce je zhodnotit systém financování kraje a jeho vliv na plnění úkolu kraje v samostatné a přenesené působnosti Moravskoslezského kraje.
