Uncertainty of Measurement Estimation of Mean Monthly Flows Values of the Selected Hydrometric Station at the Svitava River Catchment Area
Paseka, Stanislav ; Janál,, Petr (referee) ; Marton, Daniel (advisor)
Currently, a sizes of the time series elements of average monthly flows uncertainty are not taken into account in more detail and it does not know the estimation of their sizes. The above mentioned fact could ultimately affected the design and operation of large open water reservoirs. This bachelor's thesis deals with the uncertainty of measurement estimation of the mean monthly flows which have derived in the measuring profile Prostřední Poříčí in the Křetínka river in the Svitava river basin. Evaluation is done using a measured values of water level stages and a stage-discharge relation curve. The basis for design of uncertainty affected stage-discharge curves and water lavel stages the Monte Carl method is used. The outcome values of random flows are further evaluated using the statistical methods in the form of the statistical characteristics and presented as uncertainties of mean monthly flows.
Uncertainty Analysis of Hydrological and Operating Parameters on Water Management Analysis of Reservoir Storage Capacity
Paseka, Stanislav ; Menšík, Pavel (referee) ; Marton, Daniel (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to introduce the concept of Monte Carlo method for incorporating the uncertainties into the all hydrological and operational data inputs, which are needed to design and operation of large open water reservoir. Incorporating uncertainties into data inputs during calculation of reservoir storage capacity, then the consequent active conservation storage capacity is loaded by uncertainties. In the same way the values of outflow water from reservoir and hydrological reliability are affected by these uncertainties as well. For these kind of calculations the reservoir simulation model has been used, which simulate behavior operation of reservoir and is able to evaluate the results of simulations and help to reduction risk of storage capacity failure, respectively reduction of water shortages during reservoirs operation during low water and dry periods.

Using LabVIEW to determine measurement uncertainty
Hoferková, Kateřina ; Štohl, Radek (referee) ; Šedivá, Soňa (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on problematics of determining the measurement uncertainty. In the theoretical part of the thesis there is a theory of the procedure of determining the uncertainty of the measurement. The practical part of the thesis is focused on the realization of the program created in LabVIEW 2017. The bachelor thesis is about a determining the measurement uncertainty according to GUM, the standard uncertainty of type A, the standard uncertainty of type B, the combined uncertainty and the expanded uncertainty. The thesis is focused on determining the measurement uncertainty of direct measurements, indirect measurements and Monte Carlo method. The enclosed LabVIEW program enables to insert the data to determine the measurement uncertainty. The program determines the measurement uncertainty according to GUM and Monte Carlo method. The results of a calculation can be optionally saved to a file for an archiving.
Evaluation Of Uncertainties Of River Flow Measurements With Propeller Current-Meter
Niemiec, Łukasz ; Macura,, Viliam (referee) ; Kožnárek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Starý, Miloš (advisor)
The development of hydrology and the need of getting exact data increase the demands on hydro metering. Measurement of spot velocities and deriving the flow of water are frequently performed by the workers of Český hydrometeorologický ústav (Czech Hydrometeorological Institute) and other companies. The limited precision of the measuring machines, the imperfection of methods and the influence of human senses cause that we are not able to get the accurate value of quantity. We are just close to the right values. The term uncertainty of measuring determines the interval which is assigned to each measurement and contains the real value of measured quantity. Twenty imminently repeated measurement were done in twelve measuring profiles of the Dyje River and in one profile of the Morava River using the current meters OTT (OTT Hydromet, 2013) type C2 and type C31. We investigated the dependence of uncertainties type A and B in different profile parameter. The measurement was done with the suspension bar with 2 to 4 propeller current-meters. The hydrometric car on the bridge was used in deeper waters. The results were analysed from the point of view of the uncertainties and generalized. Next point of the research was to find out how the frequency of the current meter depends on temperature of water. For this purpose, the specific canal was made in the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Brno (Ústav vodního hospodářství krajiny) and the measuring was done in temperature interval from 1 °C to 24 °C. Repeated measuring was statistically evaluated from the uncertainties point of view. In the thesis, the proposal of elaboration of uncertainties determined by both types of measurement into current methods of determination of uncertainties of the derived flows using the measurement of spot velocity by the propeller current-meter in measuring profiles of the rivers is introduced.
