Canaan Dog and Dog Assistant Education

The topic of this thesis is Canaan dog including dog assistant education. The first part is theoretical and introduces the reader to the Canaan dog breed. The origin of this rare and very old breed is Izrael and first dogs were imported to the Europe and America in 60s of 20th century. The lack of Canaan dogs in Europe causes problems with breeding and transmission of genetic diseases. Especially in the Czech republic there is only few dogs. The teoretical part introduces a transmission of genetic diseases and other diseases. The practical part is focused on a creation of a genealogy of Canaan dogs in the Czech republic. Further I studied inbreeding. In the second part I studied the use of dog in education. The practical part are two education programs, which I created. The first training program is about dogs behaviour, it's also tested in practice and its completed results are part of the appendix. Pupils will learn important information about dogs, how to handle and understand a dog or information about a primitive breed like rare Canaan dog. The second education program is designed for high school students. The program is about inbreeding and includes text and worksheet. Program for Interactive Family-Tree Making

This thesis describes the design and implementation of an application for interactive family-tree making. The application supports importing and exporting data in GEDCOM format, further editing of the data, visualizing the data in family charts and their export. The design of the program is modular. It is implemented using C++ and Qt. The program was released for testing amongst the group of Czech and Slovak genealogists and their opinions on the program were obtained and analysed.

Vývoj osídlení ve zvolených lokalitách v příhraničním regionu

The topic of the thesis is the development of settlement in the borderland, especially in Prachatice region. The thesis is divided into literary and practical part. The literary part is divided into five chapters. In the first two chapters, the reader is familiarized with the concept of the borderland, then with the term Sudetenland. Furthermore, the literary part deals with the history of settlement in our country, beginning with prehistoric times, through the arrival of the Slavs, great colonization, the Hussite war, the Thirty Years' War, the abolition of serfdom and also it focuses on historical evolution of the 20th century. Furthermore, the history of settlements focuses on the settlement in the Bohemian forest (well-known as Šumava in czech language), where the reader is primarily informed about the period of occupation and post-war events. At the end of the literary part there is an overview of factors that influenced rural development until now. The main part of the thesis is mainly practical. It is based on the family tree of the author and focuses on the villages where the family lived or still has been living. Some villages have been saved and preserved after the World War II., some villages were destroyed and disappeared from the maps after the Germans moved away. The practical part maps each of these villages, describes their development and records how the villages looked on the maps of land and cadestral register and how they have changed into today's form during history.

An Editor of Family Trees

In contemporary world, there is a lot of different social applications. This work aims to create user friendly genealogic application similar to MyHeritage.com. This application allows users to create and edit their own family tree, search for matches based on similarity with the possibility to merge family trees. Among other functionalities, the application provides users with possibilities to create photogallery, share information or display profiles of other persons. As a base for processing and storing graph data like family trees graph database Neo4j was used whose performance was later tested and compared with selected relational database.

Environment of Family-tree in primary school mathematics

The Rodokmen (Family tree) environment is one of the many envirnments listed in Fraus publishing house textbooks based on the RVP pro ZV (The Framework Educatinal Programme for Basic Education). The environment offers a tool for building of the mathematical schema of terms and their inter-realations as well as the development of the logical thought. In the theorethicl part of this Diploma thesis the relationship of the Rodokmen environment to the RVP pro ZV is being explained, basic mathematical and geneaologic terminology is stated. In this part of the thesis I also explain the relations in the set cocncept, clasify the family relationships and adress the methodology of the age example solving. In the practical part of the thesis I - by the way of experiment - determine how and in what context students understand the stated mathematical terms, the way they apply the understanding in order to solv the relation and age exams or problems, where the numeric operations take place.

Program for Dog Pedigree Management

This bachelor´s thesis deals with a project and system implementation of a program for dog pedigree management in Java. The suggested program is cross-platform and also able to realise operations with the database of dogs. It is enable to browse family trees of dogs and find out the best dog for mating a selected female dog. In the conclusion benefits of this application are evaluated. Other posibilities of its extension have also been mentioned.
