Legal regulation of consumer credit in selected jurisdictions - abstract This master thesis is a comparative study of consumer credit regulation. Consumer credit regulation is compared in three different countries: the Czech Republic, Russia and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The distinctions between the Czech regulation on one hand, and Russian and British regulations on the other hand are analyzed and evaluated in terms of their reasonability. The conclusion summarizes the recommendations for optimization of the future consumer credit regulation. Main topic of the diploma thesis is financial literacy, more specifically the risk of its consequences. First part of the thesis deals with definition of financial literacy, its causes and consequences. Next chapters are devoted to monetary literacy, ignorance of which causes many problems in the area of credits, loans and subsequently may lead to indebtedness. This part of the text defines important key words, whose knowledge in essential for using of banking services and products Last chapters of the theoretical part introduce the Consumer Protection Act and the issues of seizures and insolvency. Main objective of the practical part of the thesis is to carry out a research among university students in order to summarize the level of their awareness, knowledge and experience in the financial area.
Comparation of a consument loans on Czech market

Needs of people are still increasing and with that is evenly increasing need of financial possibilities. I chose this theme for my diploma because it is present topic and it is affecting all areas of Czech Republic. Goal of my bachelor's diploma "Comparison of consumer's loan on Czech market" was mainly analysis of situation at market of consumer's loan and comparison of non-purpose consumer's loans offered by financial institutions at Czech market. This goal led me to determination of which banks offers the most favorable loans. Theory part of my diploma is mainly focused on characterizing basic terms of this theme and categories of consumer's loans. Then the term of compound interest, types of compounds interests and their calculations of compound interests are according to formulas. Practical part of my diploma is occupied with analysis of current condition at financial institution market. For this work I chose 5 institutions offering loan services and then I chose products of those institutions based on the similarities of terms for granting and drawing loans. To accomplish the goal is important to know theoretical knowledge of consumer's loans and current state of drawings consumer's loans, that are offered by financial institutions to Czech people. A main criterion for the comparison of loans was rate of compound interest due to duration of repayment of consumer's loan. I decided to add multi-criteria comparison by method of order. It compared chosen consumer's loans according to rating criteria like APR, compound interest, high of repayments monthly, total number of repaid amount and fee for early repayments. In the end conclusion is shown as implementation of results. In what order those chosen financial institutions are placed and how favorable is any of those loans for consumer.
New mortgage financing rules and their impact on the mortgage market of the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis is focused on the field of mortgage loans and their legislation in the Czech Republic since there have been many changes in this area recently. The market has also been affected by the changes related to the position of the Czech National Bank. The thesis provides insights into the terms associated with the mortgage loans in general. Secondly, it focuses on summary of the most important laws related to the area of mortgage loans. The next part looks at the position of the Czech National Bank and the changes that have been recently brought to the market. Following is the calculation of the annual percentage rate of charge (APR) and demonstration of the risk that results from the changes in legislation of early repayment.

Charges Bound to the Mortgage Loan in Individual Financial Institutions

When closing the mortgage loan, it's usually very difficult to compare offers from various financial institutions only by annual interest rate. The financial institutions often require additional payments and charges. The annual percentage rate of charge allows the customer to evaluate better the advantages or disadvantages of provided mortgage loan. The aim of this work is to compare the advertised interest rate of mortgage loan, annual percentage rate of charge and final rates in individual financial institutions.

Analysis of consumer loans in terms of APR with focus on microcredit

The thesis is focused on consumer loans either from a regulatory standpoint including comparison of two legislative resources and from practical view focusing on real-life examples from Czech banking and non-bank providers. The main focus of analysis is to determine the impact of credit parameters on the APRC. Considerable portion of the thesis is dedicated to a specific area of consumer loans, microcredits. Even here the primary aim is the regulation of microcredits, the providers participating in the administration of microcredits and the calculation of the impact of principal, maturity and costs of credit on the APRC.
Analysis of the APR for consumer credits

The thesis is focused on analysis of consumption credits, which are provided by banking and non-banking providers. The work contains theoretical and legislative resources mainly for the pointer annual percentage rate, because the APRC should be the main compartive standard for consumers. The thesis contains comparison of consumer credits of several providers from the czech credit market. The overall evaluation of situation on market and recommendations for consumers are also included.
Vliv konkurence v českém bankovním sektoru na výši RPSN bankovních úvěrů

The main aim of this thesis is to evaluate the influence of the competition conditions in the bank sector especially its height of RPSN in loans. There is analysis of the competition in the czech bank sector and the RPSN index in the practical part. There is also another analysis of the variability of the height of RPSN considering several banks. Conclusion contains the evaluation of the influence of the competition and the activity of the central bank focused on the height of the RPSN, whereas there are mentioned even the possible visions for future.
