The Thesis "Philosophy and Early Christianity: Relationship Hellenism and Christianity in the works of Gregory of Nazianzus" attempts to look at the issue of dealing with the relationship between Hellenism and Christianity on the character of Gregory of Nazianzus. The work thus aims to show at the life, work and controversy Gregory of Nazianzus with the Emperor Julian the Apostate, one of the forms of searching solutions related to Hellenism and Christianity in the early church.
Idiomatic equivalents in French and Czech context

The title of the bachelor thesis : Idiomatic equivalents in French and Czech context Key words : Folk literature, idioms, proverbs, comparisons, folk sayings, rhetorics, Czech- French analytic study The bachelor thesis called Idiomatic equivalents in French and Czech context is an analytic study of two languages - French and Czech. The main aim of this work is to find differences between French and Czech sayings. The thesis is divided into several thematically separated parts. A term folk literature will be introduced in the beginning and particular terms will be chosen for further examination. The thesis will deal with idioms, proverbs, folk sayings and comparisons, and their history, meaning and use in French and Czech language will be the object of this work. Another part of the thesis will be focused on categories close to idioms, such as maxims, sentences and rhetorics. In the end the author will try to find new forms of idioms. The goal of the thesis is a linguistic study, in which particular French and Czech idioms will be found and compared.

"Most people don't mind global warming": Climate change denial in Czech politics between the years 2018 - 2021 This thesis deals with the topic of climate change denial in contemporary Czech politics. It aims to describe how the narrative of climate change denial is formed and reproduced. The first part captures the origins and the background of climate change scepticism in both Czech and international context with the special stress laid upon ideology. Based on the critical discourse analysis of the rhetorics of Alexandr Vondra, Jan Zahradník, Václav Klaus Jr., and Tomio Okamura, the second part of this paper aims to contribute by unravelling the key symptoms of climate change denial discourse of the above mentioned politicians as well as the dominant frames and discursive strategies used to deny both the anthropogenic climate change and the climate change politics. The last goal of the analysis is to describe in what aspects the linguistic means of selected right-wing populists differ or intertwine with the language of right-wing conservatives. Diploma thesis is dealing with the political party programme as the basic building block of political rhetoric and related phenomena in the Czech and Slovak political discourse of reasoning, rhetoric and related statements and case studies that describe and approach these phenomena with examples from the current domestic political rhetoric. Author bases on contemporary critical analysis of argumentation and theory of pragma-dialectic which opposes fallacies or false arguments and then sees both methods in construction of arguments in cases of political rhetoric, mass media discourse and conotative values that they are gaining.
