Comparison of Selected Financial Products Contributing to Old Age Ensurance

This bachelor thesis deals with one of the biggest social problems of present days, with the retirement system. Regarding the fact that the retirement system in the Czech Republic is unsatisfactory, it is necessary to prepare for the retirement individually without relying on the support of the state. I aim my bachelor thesis at selected products of the financial market that can help ensure contented old age. The analysis takes into consideration the age, the amount of savings and, last but not least, the tax rates to which people belong. The theoretical part deals with the most important definitions and describes the functioning of particular products. The practical part analyses examples of clients saving their money at different times, in different combinations of investment sum, and various examples of tax groups. This part deals with comparison of different products and tries to find the ideal combination for saving for the old age.

Attitudes toward retirement system of the Czech Republic – November/December 2021

In November and December, the Public Opinion Research Centre asked a set of questions related to attitudes of the Czech citizens towards the retirement system in the Czech Republic. Questions focused mainly on the current condition of the retirement system and its possible changes. Respondents also expressed level of their support for concrete measures and actions within the retirement system. The last question focused on the opinion whether the received finances from the social security system can cover funding of the pensions.

Process and rate of disability among seniors

The most characteristic feature of the demographic development in the Czech Republic and other developed countries is population ageing. The aim of the thesis "The process and rate of disability among seniors" was to determine the extent to which disability interferes with the lives of the seniors and to map the development, progress and conditions of the pension system. After an introductory overview of basic concepts, a part of the thesis deals with a theoretical analysis of the European framework of social security of seniors and another part is concerned with the reform of disability pensions in the Czech Republic. The focus is also on the forms of care for disabled pensioners. The empirical part analyzes the areas related to the development of population structure, administrative agenda, overview of pensions according to the WHO diagnosis groups, total overview of disability pensions, the development of the structure of pensions, financing of pension administration, and the average age of retired people. The economic side is also included, where pensions are compared with average salary and also the economic activity of seniors. Reverse Mortgage

This thesis deals with research of interest in reverse mortgage in the Czech Republic. There is a large number of households within the population in the Czech Republic that owns their own home and still has difficulty paying the cost of securing basic household needs. The status of these people is getting worse with age. Current pension systems are unable to replace the income that people have reached in their working age. Responding to the needs of this target group is a reverse mortgage, which uses the capital stored in real estate designed to house seniors, thereby ensuring retirement.
