Employee Benefits as an Important Component of Employee Remuneration of Generation Y

1 Abstract The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyze employee benefits from the point of view of generation Y, for whom they represent an important component of the remuneration of workers in the organization. Attention is paid to employee benefits in the remuneration system and their relationship to other remuneration components. Furthermore, employee benefits, their types, delivery systems and the connection with the care of workers are characterized, including a reflection of trends in their delivery. The thesis further deals with the problematics of generations of workers on the labor market, with a focus on the specifics of Generation Y, and based on a search of research from the international and Czech environment, the employment benefits that are the most attractive from the point of view of this generation are identified. Part of the thesis is a quantitative survey carried out in the form of online questionnaires. Respondents of survey are administrative workers from generation Y working in selected state organizations. The aim of the empirical survey is to find out their preferences in the field of employee benefits.
