Cathinones - recreational stimulants and their effects

PharmDr. Jana Pourová, Ph.D. Title of diploma thesis: Cathinones - recreational stimulants and their effects In this thesis, I address the issue of synthetic cathinones (SCs), which were first synthesized in the 1920s and initially explored for potential medical applications. By the early 21st century, these substances had become popular as recreational drugs due to their easy accessibility, low cost, and initially legal status. In the thesis, I particularly discuss the toxicokinetics and toxicodynamics of selected derivatives, classifying them into groups based on various properties. The work also deals with their chemical structure and its numerous variations, which not only allow for circumvention of the law but also lead to the creation of derivatives with various properties. Included are findings on the adverse effects of these drugs, and I also describe the effects that make them sought after by users. Additionally, I provide a brief history and the current situation on the market in Europe and the Czech Republic. The theme of bachelor’s thesis is new-building mountain boarding house in Dolni Morava. The building is set in flat terrain. It has two floors above ground. The building is designed of systém Porotherm and the ceiling construction of system Porotherm Strop. The roof strukture is a saddle roof with timber roof supported by load-bearing walls and with angle 34 degrees.

Jan Balon, Ph.D. Abstract Fitness and YouTube are very popular areas of entertainment these days. Despite the touchiness of this topic, there are many videos about doping being published on YouTube. Majority of the research dealing with doping is oriented on top-level athletes and the area of recreational sport with much larger membership is omitted. Since the ways how to gather information are very limited for recreational athletes compared to professional athletes, YouTube happens to be very suitable field for this purpose, but it hasn't been scientifically explored that much yet. In this paper I examine czech youtube videos, which aim to deal with the relationship of fitness and doping. I analyse videos of various authors via content analysis. My work interprets statements and information, which reach the viewers.
