Role of General Nurse in Rehabilitation Nursing

The bachelor thesis deals with problems of rehabilitation nursing in practice. The main aim of the work was to establish the awareness of general nurses on rehabilitation nursing and whether they co-operated within the scope of a multi-disciplinary team. My Partial Aims were to find out what did general nurses consider to be rehabilitation nursing, whether they rehabilitated with patients and whether the multi-disciplinary team was used in practice. The theoretical part of the thesis aims at summary of information as related to rehabilitation nursing. There is also stated the way of education of general nurses nowadays and statutory stipulations on their work contents. The empiric part used quantitative investigations with the data obtained through an Internet questionnaire. The respondents were the general nurses from the Czech Republic. The results reached clearly indicate that general nurses have sufficient knowledge in the field of rehabilitation nursing and they sufficiently co-operate with other members of the multi- disciplinary team. The knowledge obtained will be published in social networks and there will also be created a plan for better orientation in positioning of patients. Animal-assisted therapy Introduction into the topic: Animal-assisted therapy is a collective term for rehabilitation methods and methods of psychosocial support of health, based on a positive contact between human and animal. It lies on the border of several disciplines, for example occupational therapy, nursing, psychology or education. This thesis deals with animal-assisted therapy from the perspective of a nurse as a participant in therapy nad its effects, which are reflected in nursing care. Goal This thesis aims to find out what are the experiences of nurses with animal assisted therapy and the extend to which nurses participates. Research questions: What are the experiences of nurses with zootherapy? To what extent the nurse can participate in animal assisted therapy? Which effects of therapy can reflect in nursing care? Methodology: Data collection was conducted semi-structured interview technique that was analyzed with using coding. Results I found that a participation of nurses on canistherapy is rather passive. The nurse tells the canisterapeut necessary information about the current status of the client, in some cases accompanied the therapist to the patient. Rehabilitation Nursing in CVE Patients in Home Care

The thesis deals with application of nursing rehabilitation in patients after stroke at home care. The thesis further describes cerebrovascular accidents, rehabilitation nursing and home care agencies (HCA). The research reveals correlations between nursing quality and additional education of HCA nurses.
