Title: The problem of unequal length of the lower limbs in children during the growth period. Objectives: Due to the comprehensiveness of the topic, part of this diploma thesis is a more detailed mapping of the issue in the context of etiopathogenetic changes of the femur and hip joint. It is an effort to draw attention to the relevance of adequately chosen treatment management and all contexts that may contribute to the resulting asymmetry and progression of changes. The research part tends to the three specifics of the selected research groups, where the analysis of correctly selected aspects is carried out with the aim of whether the generalization proves the manifestation of some researched aspect, such as gender or disability. One of the sub-goals was to find out whether the length asymmetry is reflected in the morphological changes that are part of the X-ray images of pediatric patients and whether it can help create the risk of secondary degenerative changes. The investigated groups were represented by patients of the pediatric orthopedic department of the Bulovka University Hospital with diagnoses of Legg-Calvé-Perthes morbus, coxa vara adolescentinum and limb length discrepancy - acquired.
