Quality evaluation of the connection of low-voltage control circuit cables
Chabiniok, Pavel ; Prostredník, Daniel (referee) ; Jankových, Róbert (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with evaluation of quality of the connection of low-voltage control circuit cables, with the emphasis on quality assurance of crimps. An analysis of possible quality control methods, including a map of the crimping process, was created. Further, the thesis includes proposals for improvement of the original system. Furthermore, a proposal of non-destructive inspection system was produced. The conclusion summarizes the knowledge gained in quality control of crimping, including practical recommendations.
Rich Features in Phrase-Based Machine Translation
Kos, Kamil ; Žabokrtský, Zdeněk (referee)
Title: Rich Features in Phrase-Based Machine Translation Author: Kamil Kos Department: Institute of Formal and Applied Linguistics Supervisor: RNDr. Ondřej Bojar, Ph.D. Supervisor's e-mail address: bojar@ufal.mff.cuni.cz Keywords: machine translation, quality evaluation, source-context model, suffix array Abstract: In this thesis we investigate several methods how to improve the quality of statistical machine translation (MT) by using linguistically rich information. First, we describe SemPOS, a metric that uses shallow semantic representation of sentences to evaluate the translation quality. We show that even though this metric has high correlation with human assessment of translation quality it is not directly suitable for system parameter optimization. Second, we extend the log-linear model used in statistical MT by addi- tional source-context model that helps to better distinguish among possible translation options and select the most promising translation for a given context.

This bachelor thesis deals with evaluation of quality of hunting weapon. In the introduction part are described chosen terms and definitions. In next parts are desciber requirements which are required of hunting weapon. In practical part are described manufacturing tests and evaluation qualitication of inner surface shotgun barrel of hunting weapon Brno COMBO. In the conclusion are summarized received knowledge in evaluation of quality of hunting weapon, including recommendation for praxis.
Implementation of a metric for video quality evaluation
Kachlík, Miloš ; Dostál, Petr (referee) ; Slanina, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create a program able to implement the metric CPqD-IES to evaluate the quality of video in system MATLAB. This metric is described in Recommendation ITU-R BT.1683 for objective video quality measurement techniques for standard definition digital broadcast television with presence of a full reference. Video quality assessment is calculated objective parameters based on image segmentation. Natural scenes are segmented into edge, plane and texture regions. Objective parameters are assigned to each of these contexts. The relationship between each objective parameter and a subjective impairment level is approximated by the logistic curve, which is resulting in an estimated impairment level for each parameter.
Current Technologies for Photographic Color Prints Production
Štěpánková, Eva ; Jančovičová, Viera (referee) ; Dzik, Petr (advisor)
Paper gives a brief overview on current technologies for large-scale production of color photographic prints. Advantages and disadvantages of individual technologies are discussed. A comparison of color gamuts is included as well.

On-line tools for measuring website availability and performace
Grohoľ, Robert ; Pavlíček, Luboš (advisor) ; Maryška, Miloš (referee)
This thesis focuses on the on-line tools for measuring availability and performance of the websites. The objectives of the work include description of the metrics they use, categorization of the tools and selection of the best available tool on the market according to the requirements set to reflect the typical user's needs. The work is divided into three parts. The first one is dedicated to the description of measured values and methods of their measurement based on the analysis of selected tools and the literature dedicated to website monitoring. The second part focuses on the categorization of the tools according to various criteria. The third part contains selection of the tool using multi-criteria analysis and standardized metrics for evaluating software product quality. The main contribution of this thesis is providing an actual and comprehensive perspective on the issue of measuring performance and availability of the websites using on-line tools, including the analysis of the current market and selecting the best available tool.
Chemical factors affecting the taste and medicinal activity of wine
Harmatha, Juraj
The wine is presented as a complicated multi-component, and permanently varying (maturing) natural product, with unique properties, acquired from several sources, e.g. the grape origin, the growth locality, the enological processes, as well as the qualified evaluation with a feedback to all factors shaping the character and quality of wine. Chemical components are regarded as generators of perceivable sensory (taste) properties of wine, as well as providers of its pharmacological effects and medicinal value, qualifying wine as active functional food additive (nutraceutical) with a significant impact on health.
