Kratochvílová, Iva ; Holeyšovský, Jan (advisor) ; Trpišovský, Milan (referee)
This thesis is focused on the organization of interdisciplinary teamwork in the field of psychosomatic medicine at specialized clinics in Bavaria. The main objective is to describe the system of organization and management of local teams and principles that constitute the teamwork in the psychosomatic field. The paper consists of two parts, theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part deals with team and teamwork defintion, as well as its characteristics in health care and in multidisciplinary (interdisciplinary) teams with regard to the specifics of their management. Multidisciplinary teams and interprofessional cooperation is discussed in relation to the field of psychosomatic medicine. A summary of the current basis of psychosomatic medicine in the context of medical education, legislation and the health care system in the Federal Republic of Germany and the Czech Republic follows. The system of the field of psychosomatic medicine in Germany is one of the main reasons why the empirical part is focused on the German environment of psychosomatic practice. The results of this thesis bring a model of the teamwork at psychosomatic clinics in Bavaria, which the Czech environment can be inspired by in its concept and can build on the major discovered principles of teamwork. These are common visions...

The Approach of Czech Health System to Psychosomatic Medicine in Comparison with International Discourses
Wolfová, Magdaléna ; Háva, Petr (advisor) ; Kotrusová, Miriam (referee)
The research problem in this thesis is the quality of treatment of Czech patients suffering from somatoform disorders. The goal is to evaluate the state of scientific discourse of Czech specialists in Psychosomatics, compared with the international situation as a potential starting point of further institutional change, including its legitimacy (interviews with citizens). Methods were used: (1) critical discourse analysis and (2) semi-structured interview. Findings: The existence of barriers between representatives of the various professional disciplines prevents the development of Czech scientific discourse of Psychosomatics, combined with the applied reform changes focused on individualism and competition. Czech Republic unsufficiently utilizes the knowledge support from international organizations (WHO, OECD, EU) in the field of mental health policy. The formation of Czech health policy is not compliant with human rights related to health and is more focused on the question of financing than on patients' health. Citizens perceive deficits in psychosomatic approach and try to substitute with complementary and alternative forms of medicine.
Complex Treatment of Patients with Bechterew´s Syndrome
ARCIMOVIČOVÁ, Petra
The bachelor thesis titled "Complex Treatment of Patients with Bechterew´s Syndrome" suggests therapeutic possibilities of the disease. Bechterew´s syndrome is a frequent topic of scientific papers but the complexity of treatment is not always considered. A major part of the theoretical section presents the disease with its signs and symptoms, and also discusses the much debated causes, the progression and phases of the disease. The thesis focuses on the psychosomatic approach; it discusses potential influences and other factors, specifically genetic and antigen factors, a potential connection with bacterial diseases, the function of intestinal microflora and its relation to dietary habits. Another important topic is influence of specific personality traits, as well as the implication of the patient´s social interactions in the early childhood on the behaviour in an adult age. The research results in five examinations of patients with Bechterew´s syndrome including personal history, kinesiology examination and a two-hour interview with each patient. The data are qualitatively analyzed. There are two research questions: the first explores which physical, psychological, social and spiritual factors may improve the disease; the second looks into factors which may aggravate it. On the one hand, in the majority of cases the most important factors seem to be the diet, physical activity, specific personality traits and faith in God. On the other hand, the diversity of patients - interviews with patients taking place in a spa, a rehabilitation centre, at home - leads to very different personal opinions and feelings. The last interview, number 6, offers a homeopathic point of view. In spite of the fact that the research sample is relatively small, the research data are very useful, even though no definite conclusions can be made. The thesis may contribute to the knowledge of health workers specializing in the treatment of Bechterew´s syndrome and to the training of physical therapists.
Psychosomatic approach to treatment of food intake disorders
ROKOSOVÁ, Silvie
Contingent problems arising from food intake disorders (henceforth only FID or ``PPP{\crqq} in Czech) involve a broad range of bio-psycho-social aspects of life. Thus, FID are being viewed as a sign of disrupted balance amongst the different facets of life. The objective of this undergraduate thesis is to point out the role of the psychosomatic approach to treatment of FID, and the necessity of emphasizing this approach and adopting it in practice. In the process of mapping the issue of applying psychosomatic approach in the treatment of FID as comprehensively as possible, I applied a qualitative research methodology. The aim was to draw up an overview of the situation from the perspective of persons who had undergone such treatment {--} concretely, patients over 18 years of age and their adult family members {--} in order to find out whether the concerned person{\crq}s treatment was adequately comprehensive. Another objective of my qualitative research was to record the opinions of individual specialists and their general attitude to the given subject. For data collection I used the technique of semi-structured conversations, which I processed according to qualitative analyses of the respondents` answers. The result of these analyses enabled me to determine the factors that the patients and their family members considered fundamental for the onset, progress, and treatment of FID, as well as the aspects that specialists consider important in connection with the onset, progress, and treatment of patients suffering from FID. The work on my undergraduate thesis led me to an important finding, namely, the importance of a comprehensive approach to the treatment of FID, where the singularity of individual cases is highly relevant. Treatment of FID should be flexible and take into account the changing social conditions as well as the complexity of these disorders. Solution finding for the complex issues involved in FID requires a sufficient number of experienced specialists, and prevention plays a very important role as well.
