Mašková, Eva ; Kučera, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Vogel, Jiří (referee) ; Čornej, Petr (referee)
Religious conversion is an interesting phenomenon that crosses religious beliefs. This phenomenon intersects with many various disciplines, from medicine through the scientific disciplines such as anthropology, sociology, religious studies, psychology and theology. Religious conversion may on the one hand be a demonstration of deep spiritual experience and on the other, the result of strong pressure from others. We can get closer to the truth only through the authentic testimonies of the converts. This is why I have chosen the theme of the religious conversion in the context of "pure experience". We can see differences among conversions to various religions. But it is necessary to say, that I am interested in conversion to Christianity. But the Christianity of two thousand years ago is not the Christianity of today. The Apostle Paul joined a marginal movement at a time when such acceptance was punishable by death. Today, however, converts have joined millions of faithful around the whole world. And this is why religious conversion to Christianity is a lively phenomenon. In my thesis I would like to clarify the question: "What is religious conversion?" Is it a manifestation of the power of God, or is it a clearly human decision? Has the conversion some connection with the social environment, or is...

Herrmann, Natanael ; Grznár, Miroslav (advisor) ; Janas, Martin (referee)
This bachelor thesis concerns people who went through out-of-body experiences. It examines them in the perspective of social construction of reality. It concerns symbolic language which these people use to describe realities of finite provinces of meanings which they experience in their out-of-body experience. This thesis is mainly based on the book from two sociologists Peter Berger and Thomas Luckmann Social construction of reality. The theoretical part is also based on books about mysticism, lucid dreaming, near-death experiences, psychedelic substances and shamanism. As a method autor uses narrative analysis and in interviews with informants he shows how these experiences affect them in their view on our everyday life and also in their attitude to death. Last thing which this thesis concerns is the relation between different techniques of induction of these out-of-body experiences and the depth of these experiences. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Confessional religious education for students coming from secular environment?
SMÍTKOVÁ, Alena
The main topic of this work is an effort to answer the question, whether confessional teaching of religion is the right way to approach pupils from secular environment. In the first part of my work I follow up the definition of catechesis and its history. Next I compare confessional and unconfessional way of teaching religion, and as an alternative to it, I propose the teaching focused on cultural context. I also give attention to the term ?secular society? and consequences from that in religion teaching. I look for goals and contents of religion teaching in individual church documents with consideration to non-religious pupils. In the last section of this work I pay attention to developmental psychology, development of religious judgment and the character of educator. In the very end I try to find solutions to teachings focused on cultural context.
