The effect of gait training with a prosthesis on stability and parameters in patients with thigh amputation
Tučková, Tereza ; Smékal, David (advisor) ; Kálal, Jan (referee)
Diploma thesis "Effect of gait school with prosthesis on stability and walking parameters of patients after transfemoral amputation deals with problems of patients after transfemoral amputation due to vascular etiology. It mentions elementary knowledge of rehabilitation after amputation of lower extremity. Furthermore, there are described main complications that amputation brings into the patient ́s life: pain associated with amputation, skin complications and psychological hardships. Emphasis is laid on gait and gait practice for patients with amputation. I further deal with deviations commonly observed on gait of these patients and with factors influencing the gait, including the influence of particular parts of the prosthesis on patients ́ gait. The practical part is dedicated to comparison of two different approaches to gait practice. The effect of these approaches is evaluated on the basis of results of two groups of patients. The results were gathered by examination on force plate, measurement of gait velocity, examination of gait cadence and evaluation of patients ́s gait videos. Furthermore, I use functional tests: LCI - 5, ABIS - R, ABC scale and PEQ. All of these examinations were performed at the beginning and in the end of patients ́ stay at the Clinic of rehabilitation in Hradec Králové. The...

Title of the thesis: Casuistry of physiotherapy treatment of patient with the diagnosis of bilateral amputation below knee Objectives: The main objective of this casuistry is framework and summary of theoretical and practical knowledge of bilateral limb amputation and processing of case report of patient with defined diagnosis. Methods of the thesis: Bachelor thesis consists from two parts. The general and special. The General part includes the knowledge related with amputations and prosthesis of lower limbs, therapeutic methods and rehabilitation of patients with an amputated extremity. The Special part includes casuistry of patient with diagnosis of bilateral amputation below knee. It also contains complex kinesiological evaluation, therapy and final evaluation of therapy effect. Results: Patient casuistry was process in one month period at Rehabilitation clinic Malvazinky. Applied physiotherapeutic process contributed to the improvement of overall health condition of the patient. Keywords: amputation, prosthesis, rehabilitation, physiotherapy
Casuistry of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of unilateral lower leg amputation
Macháčková Hassmannová, Kristina ; Reckziegelová, Petra (advisor) ; Vilda, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Casuistry of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of unilateral lower leg amputation Aims: Aim of this bachelor thesis is to theoretically proces the lower limb amputation issue with the specialization on the lower leg amputation, to proces casuistry of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with this diagnosis with the therapy evaluation effect. Methods: The general part has been processed by the theoretical base recherche template for the lower limb amputation issues. I processed the definition of amputations theoretically, along with the anatomy of bones, muscles and the nerve and blood vessel supply to the lower leg, etiology, prevention, types, amputation complications and therapy. Special part of the thesis is formed by the casuistry of patient D.S. with the diagnosis of unilateral lower leg amputation. The casuistry originated as an outcome of my bachelor's practice at the Rehabilitation clinic Malvazinky from 18.1.2016 to 12.2.2016. It contains an anamnesis, kinesiological entry analysis, suggestion and therapy aims, nine therapeutical units, kinesiology input analysis and therapy effect evaluation. Outcomes: During the therapy, the patient improved in torso stability, correct breath wave practice, stump scar soft tissue relaxation, post amputation scar relaxation...
Orthotic and prosthetic equipment for patients with diabetes
Humpálová, Ludmila ; Půlpán, Rudolf (advisor) ; Čichoň, Rostislav (referee)
Author: Ludmila Humpálová Title: Orthotic and prosthetic equipment for patients with diabetes Objectives: The main objective of the thesis is to synthesise the information from the available literature and to deliver a summary of the basic of orthotic and prosthetic equipment used for patients with diabetes. Another objective is a description of equipment's basic manufacturing processes , mainly used for patients with diabetes. This thesis should help to clarify the most common options for equipment of patients with diabetes. Methods: The basis of the analytical part is literature review. In the practical part I have consulted my findings with experienced prosthetic. During the continuous practice I process an inventory of equipment options to patients with diabetes. Results: The result is a summary of information retrieval in equipment of patients with diabetes. Keywords: prosthesis, orthesis, syndrome of diabetic feet, arch supporter
The lower limb limit motion range with prosthesis Procarve
Štrupl, Jaroslav ; Hruša, Jan (advisor) ; Matošková, Petra (referee)
Titel: The lower limb limit motion range with prosthesis Procarve Goals: Measure of skiers with above-knee amputees with prothesiss Procarve. We want to find differences in joints mobility between healthy and amputated lower limb. After that we want to consider the impact to differences on the techniques of downhill skiing. Method: Literature review, interviews , expert interviews , laboratory measurements Results: At this time, thanks for advances in progress on prosthetics are beginning to explore new possibilities for people with above-knee amputation in sports activities. In our work we just focus on these topic. Selected activities will be downhill skiing on two skis. On this issue , we focus on differences in joint mobility on healthy and amputated lower limb. Amputated limb will be equipped by the special ski Procarve prosthesis from Otto Bock company. The measured results will help us to identify appropriate techniques of downhill skiing. Key words: downhill skiing, above-knee amputation, prosthesis , downhill skiing technique
The frequency and possible solutions of amputations of lower limb
Janoušek, Jakub ; Černý, Pavel (advisor) ; Půlpán, Rudolf (referee)
Title: The frequency and possible solutions of amputations of lower limb. Goals:To give an overview of causes and types of amputations. To evaluate the number of performed amputations that are based on data from. To demonstrate and evaluate possible solutions of prosthetic equipment for patients with different causes of amputations of lower limbs. Methods: The basis of a theoretical part is a literature review. The data are processed into graphs in a practical part. Case reports are created according to an expert consultation with a prosthodontist. Results: An increase of amputations of lower limb is obvious from the graphs, especialy in case of the patiens sufering from diabetes mellitus. On the other hand, the number of patients with amputations as a result of a traumatic event is decreasing.
