The Process of Selecting a Supplier for the Repairs of Machinery at the Manufacturing Plant

This bachelor thesis focuses on a process of selecting a supplier for repairs of machinery at a manufacturing plant in an External repair department. For the process clarity, a process map which describes the process and makes it clear was created. An analysis for partial activities was made, where time consuming activities were selected, for which steps to reduce duration of the process were devised. A SWOT analysis for the external repair department has been developed and evaluated, which should help to respond to opportunities and threats of the department better.

Workflow Design for a Building Company

The thesis deals with workflow design and its implementation in a construction company. The current state of document management is becoming obsolete and insufficient. Thus the company´s board has approved the realization of workflow system. The aim of this thesis is therefore analysis of company´s related processes and design of a workflow model. In addition, the new model is required to be linked with present financial and managerial accounting systems and allow for future adjustments and modifications. Final output of this thesis consists of workflow process maps, risk assessment, budget and time plan of realization.

The thesis maps, analyzes and describes in detail the process of selling the product. Subsequent proposal suggests process improvement, including process documentation.

The results from the analysis the work seeks to propose a solution that would lead to the optimization of health care emergency medical services.

In my thesis, I focused on the logistics concept of warehouse management and the subsequent analysis of the current state of order flow in the selected company. Subsequently, according to the analysis, I have presented suggestions to improve the current state of the order flow that lead to minimizing the occurrence of errors and speeding up the order flow process.

Proposal of Information System for the Business Company

The bachelor´s thesis deals with implementation of information system in business organization. Its first part is dedicated firstly to description of chosen company with its basic data and history and secondly to presenting the company’s process map while illustrating all of the main and supporting processes’ details. Next two chapters are engaged in analysing the economic situation of the company and its software availability. Following chapter presents the theory of information systems with its current trends and explains the very important terms in the field. After defining the strategic goals of the company, there are new process maps designed as optimal for the company and for the proposed information system. A suitable commercial information system is being searched and chosen according to the set criteria in the last chapter. Lastly the benefits of executed implementation are analysed and growth of effectiveness is measured.

This bachelor thesis is devided into three parts, whereas the first part is targeted to theoretical basis. The second part continues with introduction of the company at the assembly process. In the third part, there will be a suggestion of changes, which can lead to lean manufacture process in the company.
