Problematical issues of of ecology education at lower-secondary level from the teachers' point of view

The aim of the Master´s thesis is to identify the problem areas of the eco-logy curriculum at lower secondary level and to create educational activities that would help to better manage these issues. The theoretical part summarizes the situation of the ecology curriculum within biology as a school subject at lower secondary schools. In the practical part of the thesis a questionnaire survey was conducted among biology teachers in order to identify problematic issues of eco-logy and then an interview was conducted with selected participants in the que-stionnaire survey. Teaching materials have been created for those problem areas of the ecology curriculum.
Demographic development of small settlements: past, present and future

Rural depopulation is a long-standing affair, taking place in a number of advanced countries. In the European space, mass migration from the country to towns occurred for the first time in the first half of the nineteenth century. In the second half of the twentieth century, rural depopulation accelerated, but the at the beginning of the new millennium it slowed down or even came to a halt. The study wants to analyse demographic development in the smallest settlements which are most threatened by depopulation. There was a comparison of the population development at present and in the past (since the 1970s), the development in peripheral and non-peripheral (core) areas and the development in the smallest rural settlements in comparison with bigger ones. This purpose was served by the indicator "index of change in population number" for three, different development periods. For the sake of delineation of the problem areas, a use was made of further indicators of demographic nature (such as indicators of age). For every unit, they were evaluated by the "rank" method. Becoming a teacher at primary school

The issue of new teachers has been studied many times, but not always without distinguishing various levels of education. The general focus teachers in the first grade of primary school is unique as it is associated with different university training for this profession . This thesis deals with the problems faced by students of Teaching at primary school, and they are already employed in some elementary school. The aim is also to find out how they solve these problems, who helps them with their problems and how beneficial was study at a university in the context of joining the practice. The theoretical part is devoted to chapters relating to issues of new teacher and there is mentioned the legal issues associated with this issue. In the practical part is used questionnaire and interview which finding the problematic areas in terms of beginning teachers at the primary school, with whom they cooperate with their problems and if somebody other helps them with this than giving teachers. These results are partially matched well with a group of beginning teachers without degrees division in which taught. Respondents also expressed their opinion on the quality of higher education in this field.
