Adaptation of Person on Custody Execution

Paper in its introduction acquaints with conditions and law aspects of custody as institution and as an elements of criminal system. It brings closer penal trends and problems of their implementing to the practice and takes account of state of the current society and conceivable necessity of intervention which subsists in restraint of the accused person. In the following part, trough no standardized talk in terms of qualitative research, examines in practice the negative exposure of this intervention on the psycho-social adaptation of concrete individuals in the enviroment of stockade. At the end the paper indicates also the other side of the adaptation problem, this time on a person released from custody who is generally adapting on his/her original enviroment.
As is reflected in the total institution life

The subject of this thesis is a description and analysis of life imprisonment prisoners' daily life. The thesis deals with wider integration of daily life in jail. The jail as an institution and its impact on prisoners' life is described in theory. Problems of life imprisonment, key words connected with daily reality of total institutions and jail as a formal organization are also analysed. This work points out the lost of life imprisonment prisoner's identity and the importance of process adaptation in it. That means that life in jail is connected to identity lost during his collision with total institution. This process of identity lost is obvious particularly in of life imprisonment prisoners. In theoretical part of this thesis I derive from references of sociologists who work with topics of total institutions, stigmatization, moral career, technique of power and other sociological concepts. I try to show the impact of punishment on one's identity, what strategies of dealing with stress prisoners use and the whole picture of prisoner's personality impacted by the isolation from outer world to the end of the life. Psychological aspects of the consequences of criminal activity in convicted men serving imprisonment

The aim of the diploma thesis is to describe the consequences of imprisonment from a psychological point of view and to compare it with the testimonies of convicts. Every convicted person who gets into a prison is exposed to psychological problems associated with imprisonment. These problems can be associated not only with pleading guilty and accepting a sentence connected with a commited crime but also with, a transition from civil life to life in prison, adaptating to life in prison, dealing with restriction of freedom and restrictions of contact with their loved ones and so on. The thesis has a theoretical part divided into three chapters, where data has been added from transcripts of interviews with four sentenced men. The first chapter focuses on the characteristics of serving imprisonment, including the functions and the purpose of imprisonment and on penitentiary psychology. The second chapter describes the adaptation of prisoners to imprisonment in view of the length and frequency of imprisonment as well as the personality of the convicted person. The third chapter focuses on the psychological aspects of imprisonment (the second life of prisoners, aggression, bullying, suicide, self-harm, abuse and use of narcotic and psychotropic substances, limiting social contacts). The aim of the diploma thesis is to describe the consequences of imprisonment from a psychological point of view and to compare it with data from interviews with sentenced persons.

Foreigns nationals interned in the Czech Republic

Diploma thesis describes foreign nationals imprisoned in the Czech Republic with more detailed focus on the characteristics of the selected groups. Based on the analysis, characterization and expert examination gives a comprehensive view on this issue and to help you navigate not only the interested persons. The theoretical part focuses on the description of the Prison service of the Czech Republic as an institution, its role, structure and organization system. It also deals with the history and its evolution to the present time. It provides a comprehensive insight into the issue of foreigners in the Czech Republic, legislative regulation and crime. For purposes of this research work have been selected group of foreign nationals imprisoned in the Czech Republic, which are closer to the theoretical part, characterized, distributed and investigated. Analytical part is focused on analysis of selected data, and layout (for clarity) into several sections, which always include one area of research interest of the issue. This section is arranged graphs providing an overview on the development of individual indicators. In conclusion there is summary assessment and recommendations to individual areas of research.
Education principles of short term imprisonment in contemporary Czech prison system and their influence on social and psychological development of the personality

This master thesis examines the influence of short-term prison sentences on social and psychological development of individuals imprisoned in prison. It is struggling to find and define phenomena that may affect the personality of the individual in prison facili-ties.The thesis defines the professional key concepts that relate to the topic penitertiary environment. It is specifically about those concepts, which are known only to a small circle of people (mainly people who are involved in prisonry). Specifically, the notions of punishment, convicted persons, treatment programs, penitentiary problems or institu-tionalization. It also describes the psychological and social aspects with which the pri-soners face in prison.The issue of short-term prison deals with the practical part of the thesis as the respondents were using individuals who were sentenced to imprisonment of up to one year. Information is processed through interviews and questionnaires records (it is possible to write even a case study).
Annunciation of the Gospel salvation in our recent/present prison environment

The Diploma Thesis deals with the description of the facts and activities related to the proclamation of the Gospel in the prison environment. It refers to the historical development of penitentiary from the prison early days to the present time. It describes the ways to provide spiritual service in recent prison environment, the activities of the associations of Prison Religious Care (PRC) and Prison Religious Service (PRS). It provides the overview of mutual relationships among these orga-nisations and the Prison (Penitentiary) Service of the Czech Republic, and at the same time it gives legal standards regulating the provision of spiritual services on the territory of the Czech Republic. It provides a complete view of activities of a prison chaplain and introduces his competences to the reader. The research section is focused on findings what kinds of the most serious current problems accompanies the process of evangelization in current Czech prison environment and which solutions of existing problems are suggested by involved experts.
The application of art activities focusing on the development of personality of people in custodial sentence

This thesis deals with the application of the fine arts with much focus on the development of personality on people serving prison sentences. The content of this thesis is divided into theoretical and practical chapters. First part defines some key terms of including the program of rehabilitation and pedagogical events that are used in this specific environment. The practical chapters are devoted to the realization of own longer-term didactic project named ?Kordelie? which is concerned with the positive thinking, values, and the development of competences at the target group of occupationally unclassified sentenced women in the custodial prison České Budějovice. Based on the application of these sets of activities and their consequent evaluation, I am obliged to observe the real possibility of fine art inclusion in didactic projects to individuals in correctional facility.
Charitable project Prison correspondence
STACHOVÁ, Zdislava
To make a survey of this issue qualitative approach was chosen, using the method of semi-standardized interviews by Diocesan charity in České Budějovice. 6 female volunteers, who are active pen pals with prisoners, took part in the research. The coordinator of this project was also interviewed to get general view of this issue. The objective of the thesis was to find out how is the project Prison correspondence being developed in Czech prisons. Another objective was to find out how female volunteers view the risks associated with participation in the project.
