Identification of forces in the transport of liquids
Štursa, Martin ; Pokorný, Přemysl (referee) ; Kubín, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with transport of liquids on the roads. In the first part of the thesis, tanks are divided by construction, then the problem of transporting of liquids by European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR) is analysed. In the second part of the thesis, maximal speeds for a vehicle transporting a liquid during cornering are defined and calculated. These calculations are then applied in the solution of a real-life example.
Computational modelling of complex eigenfrequencies of the tram wheel during cornering
Burian, Josef ; Hadaš, Zdeněk (referee) ; Švancara, Pavel (advisor)
This Master’s thesis deals with the computational modeling of complex natural frequencies of the tram wheels during cornering. The aim of this work is to determine eigenvalues, perform analysis of the influence of different parameters on eigenvalues and perform harmonic response analysis in order to find surface velocities that can be used in future noise emission analysis.
CFD analysis of Formula student in turn motion
Derka, David ; Hostinský, Vladimír (referee) ; Popela, Robert (advisor)
Formula Student is a student competition, where there are new racing cars developed each year. The goal is to minimize lap time which can be done by well developed aerodynamic packet, which allows to generate downforce and allows the car to go faster through corners. This thesis analyzes steady-state cornering of specific car using CFD. First, the cornering theory is described and then the process of CFD simulation. Results show imperfections of the current aerodynamic packet and possible solutions are proposed.
