The effect of physiotherapy on function of postural mobility in high-performance sportsmen (tennis players)
Šobáňová, Jindřiška ; Kolář, Pavel (advisor) ; Horáček, Ondřej (referee)
This thesis, entitled "The effect of physiotherapy on the function of postural motorics in competitive sportsmen (tennis players)", deals with how the activation of the deep stabilizing muscles affects postural functions in adolescent tennis players. A group of 13 competitive tennis players, aged between 10 and 17 years, were used as our probands. These subjects were examined with a bespoke set of tests of functions and then they were individually educated to train with a set of stabilization functions. After the therapy, they were re-examined with this set of tests again and the results of both sets of tests were compared and evaluated. In particular, we evaluated the changes in reactions of individual players, the changes in separate tests and in groups of tests, and the position of players in match rankings. The movement activity of adolescent children
DINDA, Ondřej
The topic of my bachelor?s work describes problems of physical activity of children, during the period of adolescence and its influence on the health condition and the ontogenetic development of the motion apparatus. Since there are more children and adolescents, who spend a significant time of a day under a static load, to the detriment of motion activities, this topic is very actual and important. The theoretical part of my work deals with postural ontogenesis, with the significance of motion activities in individual development stages of children and adolescents, with an overview of present most popular motion activities. Further I focused on posture defects, on the impact of the school load on the child?s organism, the risks of working with computers and last but not least I described methods of prevention and treatment of consequences the above factors might cause. The objective of the practical part was to find out the frequency of motion apparatus problems, wrong habits in movements and their impact on the postural system in selected classes of secondary and primary schools. To collect the data I chose a quantitative research with a questionnaire, which contained 21 questions. Mainly the frequency of motion apparatus problems, the motion activity and further activities that affect the condition of the motion apparatus and the knowledge of the basic preventive measures were examined. There were 108 pupils in the 8th and 9th form of the school in Oparany, pupils in the 9th form of the school in Jistebnice and pupils in the first and second form of the Grammar School Pierre de Coubertin in Tabor that participated in the research. The age of the respondents was between 14 and 17 years. The results were assessed by means of the frequency analysis and have been presented in graphs. Each respondent received together with the questionnaire an educational booklet, which was prepared in an easily understandable form to give information of the impact of environment on the health of the motion apparatus, the prevention and the basic therapy of the already existing problems. The results of the research show that 70.3 percent of respondents has already had or has suffered from pains of the motion apparatus. 26.8 percent of respondents meet the requirements for the recommended weekly volume of motion activity for children and adolescents; they are mainly boys. The importance of preventive measures, e.g. the way of sitting realize most of the respondents, however the level of their knowledge of individual factors, which affect the health of the motion apparatus differed significantly. This bachelor?s work can be used in clinical practice of physiotherapist or by teachers, teaching not only physical education.
