Comparison of contemporary Czech and Spanish kindergarten

This bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of contemporary Czech and Spanish kindergarten, specifically their educational aims, curricula, and other particularities. Thesis consists of two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part explains methods used in the thesis and describes legislative of preschool education in Czech Republic and in the Kingdom of Spain. Furthermore, it is focused on the levels of education systems, the schedules of the day and the teaching stuff in kindergartens. Practical part contains direct comparison of curricular documents and particularities of Czech and Spanish kindergartens, which were found based on the questionnaire responses of Spanish kindergarten teachers. Finally, according to this comparison, the differences in the conception of a child are also presented. The thesis includes translation of the curricular document, according to which each autonomous community of Spain creates its own specific curriculum. PhDr. Jana Uhlířová, CSc. Abstract: The aim of this work is a comparison of contemporary French and Czech kindergarden in some significant aspects. These are (i) educational goals in the kindergardens and (ii) conception of the preschool education and daily schedule of a kindergarten class. This work consists of two major parts, the theoretical part and the empirical part. The theoretical part discusses an embedding of a kindergarden in the educational system, conception of a child, conditions of child care in a preschool age and, finally, it precisely analyzes legislative documents of the educational programs in France and the Czech republic. The analysis also includes a translation of selected parts of French curriculum. The empirical part of this work is based on observation of a daily schedule and conditions in which the preschool education takes place. The comparison of both above mentioned aspects highlights the differences between a conception of a child and the application of the theoretical document in practice in both countries, the Czech republic and France. The aim of this thesis is to provide possibilities of the usage of Franz Kett´s pedagogy at pre-elementary schools. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the development of the conception of a child and it will introduce specific features of the conception of a child in a Franz Kett´s religious pedagogic practise (RPP) and its application in the concept I am learning to say you and the influence on the functioning of a nursery school. The focus of the research was an observation at nursery schools in the region called Schlanders in the South Tyrol, which have been carefully selected in advance. The pedagogy of Franz Kett and its principles form the substance of the local concept (programme) of education. There will be formulated possible contributions of this concept which can be recommended for practice at nursery schools in the Czech Republic. On the basis of the conclusions there was suggested an educational plan ?You are never alone?.
