Evaluation of patient satisfaction with perioperative anesthetic care

The topic of this thesis is "Evaluation of patient satisfaction with perioperative anaesthesia care." The work is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical section describes the definition of satisfaction from multiple points of view and analyses factors affected satisfaction of patients and psychosocial needs that have a significant impact on the experience of the hospital care. The practical part deals with the questionnaire survey. The questionnaire is focused on the evaluation of patient satisfaction with perioperative anaesthesia care. Questionnaire results are statistically analysed. The aim of this work is to determine the level of satisfaction of patients in the preoperative and postoperative period.

Nursing documentation of anesthetist nurses

Nursing documentation of anesthetic nurses is not an common type of documentation in our country. In some workplaces, the medical record of anesthesia is supplemented with data needed to identify the nursing care provided. Therefore, nurses do not have their own nursing documentation at these workplaces, but they record the data in the documentation with the doctor, or continue the records on the decree sheet. Each medical facility in our country has its own system of health documentation, which makes a logical, continuous unit. The aim of my research was to find satisfaction of the nurses in the examined medical facility with the established system of medical documentation, more precisely anesthetic nursing documentation, which is related (not only) to surgical procedures. Describe how many documents are created in connection with the operation and which of them affect nursing care records. Whether they are clear, readily available, and capture the necessary data for all nurses involved in patient care in the operational fields. The choice for research was a quantitative survey using a questionnaire prepared in writing. Respondents were surgical nurses, ARO, ICU, adult room and anesthetist nurses. Prevention of perioperative hypothermia

Perioperative hypothermia, defined as a core body temperature lower than 36řC, is associated with increased perioperative complications and prolonged hospitalization. The aim of this thesis is to analyze measures that are taken to prevent perioperative hypothermia at the Orthopedic Clinic of one Czech hospital and compare them with the current recommendations of the American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses, Association of Operating Room Nurses and the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence. The study included 223 patients who underwent a planned orthopedic surgery and who were more than 18 years old. As a method of data collection I chose studying the medical documentation. The obtained data were processed quantitatively. The recommended body temperature range 36.5-37.5řC before leaving an operating room had total of 60.55% of cases. Neither one patient has been no action in terms of prevention of hypothermia. Body temperature was taken in 22.4% of cases at the beginning of and during the surgery. Except for a cotton sheet, which was used in 100% of patients, no additional measures were taken in 18,4% of patients. Intraoperative 3D x-ray during internal fixation of fractures and its comparison with 2D radiographs.

The aim of the work is evaluation of the use of a mobile skiascopic device equipped with 3D technology used in the traumatologic operating room of Znojmo Hospital during osteosynthesis in the wrist and knee area. To compare the quality of fracture reposition and fixation, measuring the position of the adjacent articular surface to the axial radium position and to the axial tibia position in the second area was made. The study also discusses skiascopic planar doses and compares the difference between 2D and 3D imaging techniques. The following mean values were determined in the sample diameter, median, modus and maximal / minimal age of patients was calculated. Further, variance and standard deviation of the sample were determined by using PC Excel programme. The surveyed values were graphed. The study also deals with the length of skiascopy during the fracture osteosynthesis at 2D and 3D imaging technologies. The values obtained from the monitors were statistically analyzed and compared by a two-selective test. The devices are equipped with a DAP metre, which provides quantitative information about the planar radiation dose applied to the patient. Acquired information about the planar radiation dose (DAP) at the both techniques were statistically analyzed and compared by the two-selective test. The work was compared with studies of some other authors dealing with the same issue. Our analysis did not confirm greater contribution of 3D imaging technology to the reposition and fixation of intra-articular fractures from the radiological point of view.
