Analysis of Pedestrian Recognition by the Vehicle Driver
Šlapal, David ; Kropáč, František (referee) ; Maxera, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with vehicle driver’s recognition of pedestrian in different driving and light conditions. The introductory part will be devoted to basic theoretical knowledge. The attention is focused on safety measures to prevent accidents between pedestrians and vehicles. The main part will be devoted to the pedestrian´s visibility from the driver´s point of view during reduced visibility on roads in darkness. The practical part of this work summarizes the results of the experiment using the selected vehicle and chosen participants. During this experiment, the distance necessary for detection, recognition and identification of the pedestrian will be measured, to stop the vehicle safety in time or to avoid an obstacle on the road.
Analysis of the Causes of Traffic Accidents Involving Vehicles and Pedestrians on Selected Pedestrian Crossings
Šimáková, Aneta ; Ptáček, Petr (referee) ; Maxera, Pavel (advisor)
A master’s thesis deals with a problem of traffic accidents on pedestrian crossings. A theoretical part describes causes and following responsibilities of all participants of the traffic accident. Furthermore, the theoretical part analyzes a traffic system and its individual parts. A practical part of this thesis describes all measuring tools used for collection of data during the analysis. The data was obtained during a real traffic on chosen pedestrian crossing in Brno A tool used for analysis is called eyetracer. Furthermore, an evaluation of collected data and following analysis were carried out. Eventually, results were compared with reports about accidents which happened on chosen pedestrian crossings.
Object detection in images using extended set of Haar-like features and histogram-based method
Králík, Martin ; Uher, Václav (referee) ; Burget, Radim (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on detection in images using extended set of Haar-like features and histogram-based method. At first is introduced a basic concept of extraction and classification image features. The next part bring own concept of image features based on Diffusion distance. Result of this work is implementation this methods in Rapidminer.
Modification of local roads in the village of Výrovice
Culek, Lukáš ; Patočka, Miroslav (referee) ; Smělý, Martin (advisor)
The aim of my bachelor thesis is modification of local roads in Vyrovice village. The road is located on the square of the Vyrovice village, where it forms a uniform asphalt surface in the current state. As part of the proposed modifications, traffic on the main road will be directed. The main road is followed by secondary road and special-purpose road. My solution will use the space more effectively. It will lead to reduction of traffic surface, but at the same time it will create more space for greenery and improve draining properties of rain water.
To Dvur Kralove by train - Transfer Terminal in Dvur Kralove nad Labem
Vinklárková, Eliška ; Sedláček, Jan (referee) ; Foretník, Jan (advisor)
The main objective of the proposal was not to create a barrier for the inhabitants or tourists by integrating transport on this parcel, leaving it as far as possible to the pedestrians. Movement of pedestrians and vehicles should not cross. The new tracks are therefore moved to the existing siding. Bus traffic should take place at busy local roads. The terminal building is in the center of the plot and is a link between bus, train, car and pedestrians. Thanks to the selected transport solution, the parcel is free from the traffic barriers and there is a free pedestrian spread. At the same time, the transport solution does not allow the free passage of the population to the south. The location of the scatter surface naturally guides the visitor and the inhabitants of the city to their area of interest - a departure from the industrial part of the city.
The Footbridge
Rusňák, Marek ; Šmak, Milan (referee) ; Buchta, Stanislav (advisor)
The main goal of this diploma thesis is a design and verification of a steel footbridge crossing the river Dřevnice in Zlín. As the basic material steel S355 and for selected members steel S235 was chosen. There are two structural variants designed in the introductory part of the thesis. These variants are then compared and in the next part only selected, more favourable variant, is addressed. The selected variant is a truss footbridge with a bridge deck at the bottom and curved top chords. The bridge deck consists of floor beams and steel plate with longitudinal stiffeners. The span of the structure is 35.0 m, the width of the footbridge is 3.9 m and its height in the middle of the span is 4.2 m.
Reconstruction of the intersection in Ústí nad Orlicí - nám. Svobody
Suchomel, Lukáš ; Coufalíková, Iva (referee) ; Všetečka, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is a change of the existing crossroad in Svoboda Square in Ústí nad Orlicí. The current state of the crossroad is inconvenient from a traffic safety point of view. It is problematic when the cars turn into 17 Listopadu Street from Tvardkova Street and hinder the cars going into Tvardkova Street from Letohradská Street. Furthermore, the location of the bus station is inappropriate and pedestrians who cross the street are in danger. The content of this thesis is to propose improvements of clarity by the construction of the roundabout.
Increasing the Safety of Pedestrians in Road Traffic
Doležalová, Lucie ; Bartuška, Ladislav (referee) ; Schmeidler, Karel (advisor)
My thesis is engaged in increasing safety of pedestrians in urban traffic. My work analyses cases of accidents in a specific area and attitudes and experiences of pedestrians as well as local inhabitants. The aim of my work is to map an accident rate – a case study and formation of applicable measures in the town Třeboň, thus in an urban area. The first part of my work is engaged in theory, which is divided in used proper terminology in accordance with the law followed by a universal view of issues of traffic and their safety. The empirical part of my work then examines analysis of dangerous places in a selected locality. These places were chosen on the base on a questionnaire survey among local residents with the goal to point out these dangerous places by actual traffic accidents in the town Třeboň. It is necessary to determine applicable measures in dangerous places from particular traffic accidents and thus to help increasing safety of pedestrians in a given place. Because of acquisition of necessary data, analysis of documents, a questionnaire survey and subsequent evaluation of results is used in my work. In conclusion I evaluated results and created a draft measure.
